SMITH served St. James from 2002 to 2003.
Paul and Kim moved to Hot Springs Village,
Arkansas in 2006. They enjoy the milder winters
but not the killer summers! Daughter,
Wyn, who lives in Lincoln, made Kim a
grandmother in Sept. 2010. Kim says they
return to Lincoln often and even have a small
condo at Pioneer House. They do lots of traveling
with their four kids living in different
places—Wyn in Lincoln, and Paul's children
in Seattle, San Francisco and Ligonier, PA
where they have 2 other grandchildren, age 7
and 4. Someday they might move back to

Thanks to Kathy Benecke (Barb Jensen) for cleaning out
the flower beds. And to Mark Dierking for cleaning our gutters,
leaves, wherever he could find them, and Kris Dierking
for arranging to get the lilies for holy week. They have already
been delivered. Give your thanks to Marissa D. for
getting us rolling on the recycling project. It's a family affair!

Saturday, May 5: 9:30 am-3:30 pm, Bob Ross Oil Painting
Class. Cost = $50. You need to sign up in advance with
Kelle. Also that day: A “Lifelong Living Festival” at the
Lancaster Event Center. If you need transportation, call the
Center; cost = $3.00.
Wednesday, May 6: 10:30 am, Graduate nutrition students
from 퇰˝ UNL give a talk on “Foodwise”.
Wednesday, May 16: A “taste-testing” by Denise Boyd,
R.D.
Wednesday, May 23: The Center will be open, but we do
have a trip scheduled to Henry Doorly Zoo. Sign up in advance.
Cost = $35 includes admittance to the zoo, and the
IMAX Theater. Lunch will be on your own at The Old
Country Buffet.
Wednesday, May 30: 10:00 am, Music by “Fine Wine”.
Coming up in June
Friday, June 22: “CarFit” - a Reassessment of you and
your car, in co-operation with AARP/AAA & Madonna Rehabilitation.
Starting at 10 am, there will be 20-minute appointments
at Southview Baptist Church. See Kelle about appointments
and the upcoming flyers.
