The Metro addressable gas detector enables remotemonitoring of flammable and toxic gas hazardscommonly found in car parks, tunnels or other areaswhere automotive vehicles may operate. Leaks fromfuel lines may include flammable materials such asLPG or petrol, while exhaust fumes contain CarbonMonoxide and Oxides of Nitrogen that are toxic. The Metro system comprising multiple detectors andcontroller is designed to protect people from suchhazards while minimizing building running coststhrough economical control of ventilation systems. The Metro gas detector offers simple and low cost installation. The mounting base is fixed into position without thedetector fitted, thereby offering unhindered access to terminals for the installer. 4 x 1mm 2 (17AWG) screened cable canbe terminated at each base with terminals for cable in, out and spur. Once all cabling is complete, the detector simplyplugs into the base and is secured into position via two screws. Every detector is supplied complete with oneof two types of vandal proof guard, flush or surface mount.Set up and configuration could not be easier. Each detector is configured using the ZHC2 infrared remote control(supplied with each controller). Configurable options include gas type, address, four alarm set points (instantaneousor time weighted action), local relay (trip point, energised/de-energised operation, NO/NC link selectable), local audiblealarm operation (active or disabled) and calibration (see specification table for applicable ranges). The ZHC2 saves eachdetector setting for download to the controller, thereby configuring all controller inputs quickly and easily.Reliable operation and ease of maintenance played a key part in the design of the Metro detector. Trouble free longlife can be expected using Zellweger Analytics patented Surecell electrochemical toxic sensor technology andpoison resistant catalytic bead flammable sensors. Detectors are serviceable to reduce on-going costs to an absoluteminimum. With each controller capable of powering up to 250 detectors, without the need for booster power supplies, a Metrosystem is sure to offer installers and end users the lowest cost and safest gas monitoring solution on the market today.One-Stop Shop• Flammable and toxic gas monitors available• Methane, LNG and LPG (0-100%LEL)• Carbon Monoxide (0-300ppm)• Nitrogen Dioxide (0-10ppm)Proven Sensor Technology• Surecell TM electrochemical sensors• Poison resistant catalytic bead• Fast and reliable• Typical 2 to 5 year operational lifeFully Configurable• Four alarm levels (instantaneous ortime weighted)• Local relay for local control• Built in audible alarm if required• Status indication via LED• Self test push-buttonUser Friendly• Plug-in detector and base configuration• Non-intrusive, one-man operation• Infrared remote control configuration• Data download to controller for easyset up of inputsCost Effective• Low detector cost• Mounting base and vandal proof guardincluded as standard• Fully serviceable to minimise long term costs• Minimal training requiredEasy to Specify• Up to 125 detectors per 1Km (3000 feet)of cable• No booster supplies required• Fully user configurableEasy to Install• Industry standard cable used for installation• Mounting base included• Plug-in detector provides easy accessto terminals• Three-way termination for in, out and spur
