NOTES FROM THE MANAGINGDIRECTOR OF BISLEYbyJeremyStaplesChairman of the NSCAfter over four years as Chairman of the Board ofNSC, Charles Oliver Bellasis has stood down from theposition but will continue to serve as a Director on theNSC Board. I should like to offer my personal thanksto Charles for his help, support and advice over thepast four years. I am sure all members of the <strong>NRA</strong>would also wish to pass on their thanks for the timeand effort he has put in.Simon Dixon will be taking over as the Chairman ofthe Board of NSC.Electronic targetsThese are now working extremely well; new softwareupdates are expected within the next two to threeweeks. Members who have tried out these targetsare, for the most part, very pleased with the results.As a result of the increase in shooting mid-week, weare able to reduce the price of the electronic targetsas follows:High SeasonWeekdays am £60.00 Weekends am £67.50pm £50.00 pm £67.50Range Office TargetsThese are available at short notice during the week andmost weekends. Those on Century can be booked atvery short notice but for the most part we do need 24hours notice on Stickledown. The cost is only £10 perhour per person. Weare once again looking for members to volunteer theirservices to help coach and act as support staff on theday. We are expecting in excess of 1200 people. If youare able to help please contact Sarah Bunch on 01483799609 or e-mail commdir@nra.org.uk.Site SecurityWe have installed CCTV cameras at the entrance ofthe estate and will be looking to extend the coveragewithin the next twelve months.We have had to organise professional site securitystaff for the Imperial Meeting; there will be securityat the entrance to the estate during the evenings anda roving security patrol.StaffWe are very sorry to lose Sally Philcox as the ShootingDivision Secretary and she has now been replacedby Sally Agnew. In addition we welcome AndrewPearse to the Target Shed staff, Jane Williams as parttime receptionist at the NCSC and Chris Scott to helpon the ground staff at the NCSC.ErinThe <strong>NRA</strong> has recently taken back this property and is nowoffering it to members on a full repairing and insuring leaseon a term of up to 21 years. We are looking for expressions ofinterest from individuals by 10 April by which time we willbe in a position to provide an information pack containing theproposed Heads of Terms together with a copy of the draft leaseof the property.The property is a two bedroom bungalow together with a lounge,kitchen, bathroom and separate WC.It is recognised that the property is in some need of modernising(ie it needs a new kitchen and bathroom) and we are preparedto offer a rent free period totalling £1500 to the incoming tenantsto allow them to fit a new kitchen and bathroom and put thebuilding on a full repairing and insuring basis. Occupation willbe from 1 May <strong>2007</strong>. Any expressions of interest should be sentto Jeremy Staples in writing by noon on Tuesday 10 April <strong>2007</strong>.11
