A NOTE FROM THEMASQUERADEDIRECTORSHave you made a newcostume for this year? Howabout entering it in the<strong>Archon</strong> Masquerade, thefinest costuming venue inthe Midwest? We knowyou're out there, we see youevery year, walking aroundin your hall costumes, orsitting in the audiencethinking, "I can do that!" So,do it! Remember, there areactually two competitions inthe <strong>Archon</strong> Masquerade, the presentation and theworkmanship. Each set of judges gives its own awards.For instance, if you really don't have much of an idea forpresentation, you can still wow the workmanship judgeswith your fine detail work.Costumes drawn from all aspects of Sci-Fi and Fantasyare welcome on our stage, as well as historical garb.Comic skits and re-enactments are also welcome, but youmust stick with the ONE MINUTE time limit per entry. Toall you parents out there, we have a junior division just foryour young fan. This is an actual competition, however. Itdoes not take the place of the Children's Masquerade,which is a separate event.If you would like to enter the <strong>Archon</strong> Masquerade, here'swhat you need to do. When you get to the convention,stop by the masquerade registration desk, which is directlyacross the lobby from the main convention registrationarea. Pick up a copy of the registration form, and have thecompleted form turned in by NOON ON SATURDAY. Thisis VERY IMPORTANT! We cannot take any late entries;registration closes promptly at noon on Saturday. Onceyou have turned in your form, the masquerade crew willguide you through the rehearsal and get you up on stage.For those who prefer to watch from the audience, pleasenote that arrangements may be made for those withspecial needs. We will be seating those with wheelchairsor children in strollers early.
