COSTUMING G.O.H - KENNETH J. HALLBorn in Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Hallspent his early years watching horrormovies and acting in school theater.Later, he wrote and produced liveshows at the Alexander BrestPlanetarium, designed animatroniccharacters for Sally Industries, andstaged promotional events for PlittTheaters. He moved to Hollywood in1982, where he became establishedas a makeup effects artist, working onnumerous features, including THETERMINATOR, GREMLINS II,BATMAN RETURNS, ADDAMSFAMILY VALUES, and CONEHEADS.He has been responsible for the creation of manylarge creatures, among them the 16 foot star ofRoger Corman's CARNOSAUR and the giantoctopus prop from Tim Burton's ED WOOD. Duringthis time, Mr. Hall continued writing, which led to hisfirst screenplay assignment, THE TOMB. Otherfeatures followed, including creating the originalPUPPET MASTER, the first of Paramount'ssuccessful direct-to-video series, and EVIL SPAWN,which he also directed. He developed GHOSTWRITER, writing and directing the syndicatedtelevision feature for the Landers sisters and wrotethe original script for THE CLOWN ATMIDNIGHT, starring ChristopherPlummer. Mr. Hall returned to acting inDarin Scott and Rusty Cundieff'scomedy, FEAR OF A BLACK HAT.The same producer/director teamgave him the opportunity to combinehis special effects background withdirecting as the Special Makeup andVisual Effects Supervisor/EffectsSecond Unit Director on TALESFROM THE HOOD, a Savoy Pictureexecutive produced by Spike Lee. In1995, he formed his own effectscompany, Total Fabrication, wherehe's created characters and creatures for STARTREK VOYAGER, THE NEW CAPTAINKANGAROO, BIG BAD BEETLEBORGS, andTURBO: A POWER RANGERS MOVIE. Theircommercial clients include Snapple, Wrigley's, RCCola, Sprint PCS, Microsoft, Popeye's, and theWWE. They produce the mascots for Red Robinrestaurants and, just this year, brought Smokey theBear to life for a new series of PSAs.
