Having a resolution of 1 nm makes it easy tosatisfy the standards of wavelength resolution demanded by the EuropeanPharmacopoeia. The <strong>UV</strong>-<strong>1800</strong> also conforms to the specifications demanded bythe Japanese Pharmacopoeia in relation to wavelength accuracy andphotometric accuracy. Additionally, hardware validation based on theJapanese Pharmacopoeia can be performed using validation software that isincorporated as a standard feature and an optical filter for wavelengthcalibration that is calibrated at a bandwidth of 1 nm.4
