EARTH SYSTEM SCIENCE PARTNERSHIPDeveloping a common strategy for integrative globalenvironmental change research and outreachwww.essp.orgThe Earth System Science Partnership (ESSP)facilitates the study of the Earth’s environment as anintegrated system in order to understand how andwhy it is changing, and to explore the implications ofthese changes for global and regional sustainability.The Earth System Science Partnership (ESSP)The ESSP is a partnership between the following programmes:ZZZZZZDIVERSITASInternational Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP)International Human Dimensions Programme on globalenvironmental change (IHDP)ZZWorld Climate Research Programme (WCRP)Joint research projects on carbon dynamics, waterand health are ongoing and Global EnvironmentalChange and Food Systems (GECAFS) successfully completed its project on 31 March 2011.
