3-Chip DLP Technology in aSleek, Compact BodyThe World’s Lightest 3-Chip Large-VenueDLP ProjectorThe PT-DW7000E series combines the latest3-chip system based on DLP technology witha new optical system developed using ourexclusive technology. We have dramaticallyreduced the cabinet size, creating a unit witonly one-fifth the volume of conventionallarge-venue 3-chip DLP projectors. This featof design and technology achieved the world’slightest* WXGA 3-chip projector with DLP technology. With a weight of 48.5 pounds(22.0 kg), the PT-DW7000E/E-K can go placesother bulky 3-chip projectors with DLP technologyhave never gone before.Superb Image Quality* As of December 2006.Conventional large-venueDLP projectorsThe PT-DW7000E/E-K are the world’s smallestand lightest WXGA 3-chip projectors withDLP technology.PT-DW7000ENative 16:9 PanelsThe PT-DW7000 is the world’s first 3-chipDLP installation projector with 16:9 wideaspect panels. Unique to Panasonic, thesepanels let the PT-DW7000E/E-K projectwide-screen images without sacrificing thesuperior image quality provided by DLP technology. They also fit more information onto aPC screen.16PC (4:3) Video (4:3)Picture in Picture images also fit more easilyonto the screen.9Image Quality from 3-Chip DLP TechnologyDLP technology delivers outstanding imageresolution. In 3-chip systems with DLP technology—consideredamong the world’s mostadvanced projector engines—a DLP chip isallocated to each of the red, green, and bluesignals. This gives systems with DLP technologysuperior light utilisation for high brightness, digital processing for low noise and linearwhite balance, extended device life forminimal image degradation, and a quickresponse that eliminates afterimages.Powerful 6,000 LumensIn addition to the 300-watt UHM lamp, thePT-DW7000E series incorporates digital andoptical technologies that maximise the DLP technology advantages. They deliver 6,000Lumens of brightness, offering superior colourreproducibility.Astounding 4,000:1 Contrast Ratio withDynamic IrisPanasonic’s original Dynamic Iris achievesa dramatically improved contrast ratio of4,000:1 in the PT-DW7000E series. DynamicIris constantly monitors the input signal, andadjusts the intensity of the light source tomatch it. This highly advanced functionprovides high-speed, linear response tochanging images with 256-step precision. It also combines with dynamic gammacontrol to produce deep, rich blacks whilepreserving the brightness in the lighter portionsof dark scenes.16-Bit Colour Depth forFilm-Like Natural ImageApplying 16-bit drive to each of the RGB panelsproduces 8 times the level of expression(a total of 24 times for all three RGB panels)of conventional 13-bit drive devices. This systemcreates extremely smooth tonal expressionwith approx. 65,000 shades of gradation.Progressive Cinema Scan (3/2 Pulldown)This interlace/progressive conversion technologyautomatically detects when the input signalis derived from filmed material and selects theoptimum progressive processing method toassure faithful reproduction of the originalimage. It is also compatible with the high-definition1080i format.Dynamic Sharpness ControlThe Dynamic Sharpness Control circuit adjuststhe video signal waveforms based on the differencein the brightness of adjacent pixelsfor a sharp, clear picture that is relativelyunaffected by signal noise.High Reliability andEasy MaintenanceLiquid-Cooling SystemIn systems with DLP technology, the microscopicmirrors of the DLP chip turn the lighton and off. During the off period, light isdirected away from the lens. Handling theheat from this light is a major point in maintainingthe long-term performance of projectorswith DLP Liquid-cooling devicetechnology.Panasonic’s newlydeveloped liquidcoolingsystemextends projectorperformance andattains a high levelof reliability. On lightCooling liquidOff lightDustproof Design with Sealed Optical BlockWe have minimised the effect of dust by completelysealing the optical block. This dust-freedesign helps ensure that 3-chip projectorswith DLP technology will continue to delivercrisp, sharp, high-resolution images over anextended service life.Dual Lamp System and Lamp Relay FunctionThe use of two lamp systems increasesbrightness and eliminates the need to interrupta presentation if a lamp burns out (indual lamp operation mode). In single lampoperation mode, the lamp relay function greatlyextends continuous operating time.Optional Long-Life LampA long-life lamp that stretches lamp life to4,000 hours is available as an option. In singlelamp operation mode, the lamp lamp relayfunction allows non-stop operation 24 hours aday for up to 47 weeks without replacing the

Projectorremote controle-mailLANPCremotecontrole-mailInternetremotecontrolPCLANe-maile-mailPCPClamps. The use of UHM lamps dramaticallycuts operating costs.Easy Lamp ReplacementThe PT-DW7000E series is designed to alloweasy lamp replacement with the projector inits fully mounted condition. The lamp itself isthe only part that needs to be replaced, whichfurther increases overall reliability.Dust Filter CleaningThe dust filter is easy to clean, and you don’thave to make any changes in the projector’smounting condition. This helps to minimiseuser down time.Flexible System ApplicationsHorizontal/Vertical Lens ShiftThe PT-DW7000E series is equipped with amotor-driven lens shifting function thatmoves the lens left, right, up, and down. Itgives you easy, accurate adjustment wheninstalling the projector.Optional Lenses for Various VenuesA wide range of optional lenses withdifferent throw distances are available.Optional lenses with super-long focal lengthsof 8.0 to 15.0 are ideal for use in churchesor screening rooms. These poweredzoom/focus lenses enable the projectors toperform superbly in an array of projectionenvironments, from classrooms to conferencerooms. It’s a snap to replace the “click-in”type lenses used in the bayonet system of thePT-DW7000E series.Connection terminalsAn optional board module can beadded for more connection flexibility.Connection TerminalsThe PT-DW7000E/E-K feature two RGB inputs,a composite video input and output, and anS-Video input. They also offer RS-232C/422input and output, two remote inputs, and oneremote output.Abundant Optional Interface BoardsIn addition to the supplied connection terminals,an optional board module canbe selected from a total of four boards tomatch a variety of input source signals, including digital serial component signals.Quiet OperationThe PT-DW7000E series is designed for quietoperation. A newly developed liquid-cooledoptical system and noise-suppression ductand control system help minimise operatingnoise. The fan rotation can now be adjusted infiner steps, so fan noise is reduced whenrotation adjusts to match room temperaturechanges. This helps minimise sudden increasesin fan noise during operation.Built-In Multi-Screen Processor, ColourMatching and Edge BlendingMULTI-SCREEN PROCESSORThe PT-DW7000E/E-K can project large,multi-screen images without any additionalequipment. Up to 100 units (10 x 10) can beedge-blended at a time.COLOUR MATCHINGWhen several units are used together, thisfunction corrects for slight variations in thecolour reproduction range of individual projectors. The PC software assures easy, accuratecontrol. Independent, 7-axis adjustment (red, green, blue, yellow, magenta, cyan, white)ensures high precision and minimises colourvariations. To simplify the set-up process, youcan adjust the projectors before deliveringthem to the presentation site. The colourmatchingfunction accommodates up to nineunits, for multi-screen or single screen presentation.EDGE BLENDINGThis function controls the brightness at overlappingimage edges to assure uniform, natural-looking,multi-screen images. Bright, Vivid Images that DeliverAll the Emotion and ExcitementOnly a projector that offers superior brightness and contrast can give youvivid, faithful reproduction of images that have both light and dark areas, such as a starship in outer space or a face partly cloaked in shadow.A projector like Panasonic’s PT-DW7000E series. The PT-DW7000E series combines outstanding 6,000-lumen brightnesswith 4,000:1 contrast*. Also featuring Texas Instruments DLP technologyand unique 16:9 wide-aspect panels (1,366 x 768), this 3-chip DLP projectortruly excels in the projection of movie sources. The PT-DW7000E series also adds features such as Dynamic Iris, whichimproves contrast by matching the lamp output to the input signal. Theliquid-cooled optical engine boosts both reliability and durability whilegreatly reducing operating noise. The PT-DW7000E series is suitable for a wide variety of applications, fromboardrooms, conference rooms, post-production, and broadcasting to premiumhome theatres.* With the Dynamic Iris set to 3.PT-DW7000U-KDynamic Iris: DeeperBlacks, BrighterWhites, and Vivid,True-to-Life ColourCompetitor ABlacks and other dark portionsare washed out.Incorporating Panasonic exclusive technology, the Dynamic Iris opens and closeswith exceptional speed and precisionas the input signal changes, resulting inaccurate, real-time control of the lightstriking the DLP chips. The Dynamic Irisis positioned immediately after the lightsynthesiser and before the integrator, soit has minimal adverse effect on theoverall light uniformity across the screen.Competitor BThanks to functions such aslamp power switching, theblacks are not washed out. Thewhite portions, however, becomedim and dull.Dynamic Iris and Dynamic GammaDynamic Iris quickly fine-tunesthe lamp output with 256-stepprecision. Dynamic Gamma preservesthe brightness in brightportions, helping maintain a widedynamic range.LampLampDynamic Iris

Please observe the followingprecautions.1. Never place objects on top of the projector while it is operation.2. Make sure there is an unobstructed space of 500 mm or more around the projector’s exhaust openings.3. Do not stack projector units directly on top of one another for the purpose of multiple (stacked) projection. When stacking projector units, be sure to provide the amount of space indicated between them. These space requirements also apply to installation where only one projector unit is operating at one timeand the other unit is used as a backup.4. If the projector is placed in a box or enclosure, the temperature of the air surrounding the projector isbetween 0°C and 35°C. Also make sure the projector’s intake and exhaust openings are not blocked. Takeparticular care to ensure that hot air from the exhaust openings is not sucked into the intake openings.5. Because the ET-D75LE5 is a fixed short-throw lens, the lens shift function cannot be used with it.1. If the projector is to be operated continuously 24 hours a day, use the dual-lamps optical system’s alternatinglamp operation(lamp changer) function.• The projector cannot be operated continuously 24 hours a day in dual-lamp mode.• Allow a minimum of two hours per day of non-operation time per day if the using the dual-lamp mode.2. The lamp replacement cycle duration becomes shorter if the projector is operated repeatedly for shortperiods.• The projector uses a high-voltage mercury lamp that contains high internal pressure.• This lamp may break, emitting a large sound, or fail to illuminate, due to impact or extended use.• The length of time that it takes for the lamp to break or fail to illuminate varies greatly depending onindividual lamp characteristics and usage conditions.• The brightness of the lamp will gradually decrease with use.Projectors Global Web Sitehttp://panasonic.co.jp/pavc/global/projectorWeights and dimensions shown are approximate.
