Finally Dated
After months of leaks,
Apple sets a July 11 release
for iPhone 3G (8GB/$199,
customers. Seventy countries - including Japan and
Australia - will get the new model, with software
the 3G’s launch date; a “push” notification system for
both e-mails and apps is under development. Rate
Starting in Australia and
New Zealand, the iPhone
problems disappoint buyers.
Still, Apple sells 1 million
units in three days.
A 120GB ($249) iPod classic replaces the
old 80GB and 160GB models, and four iPod
shuffle colors are updated to brighter tones.
