The Wolf Ex GLS Leadlamp is acost effective explosionproof lampfor use in many hazardous areaapplications. It is ideal for localisedinspection and maintenanceoperations over extended periods. The Ex GLS Leadlamp is approved,by the German test house PTB, foruse in zones 1 and 2 hazardousarea confined spaces. Theapproval for the Leadlamp, whenpowered at 24, 42 or 110 volts acor dc, covers use in gas group IIAatmospheres with a T2 temperatureclass. When powered at 230 volts, the Leadlamp can be used in gasgroup IIA atmospheres, with atemperature class of T3. This givesthe lamp the versatility of use inmany potentially explosiveatmospheres including methane, petroleum and propane. The light source for the Ex GLSLeadlamp is a standard 60W GLSrough service ES lamp of a voltagecorresponding to the power supplyused. This gives a good ambientlight, ideal for plant inspection andmaintenance duties. The Ex GLS Leadlamp light sourceis protected by a toughened glassdome, which is able to withstandchanges in temperature, preventingthe risk of failure from thermalshock. A steel cage guard with castiron locking ring minimises the riskof direct impact damage, furtherprotecting the glass. The guard andring are plated to prevent corrosion. Finally, the resilient rubberconstruction incorporates tworubber rings on both the top andbottom of the steel guard.
