The “Way of Stewardship” is NOT to “catch-up” after everything has been used for vacation but to give from the “first fruits.” Why not consider “catching up” before you leave for vacation as an act of gratitude to God for all you have been given. Clipping these labels is a great way to get FREE merchandise for Holy Spirit School! Many companies now participate in these programs, so by saving the labels with the UPC bar code, and clipping the Box Tops for Education symbol and Tyson labels from these products, you are helping Holy Spirit School! Collection boxes for these labels are located on the tables inside the entrances of our Church and School. We thank you for your support!!! Attention All Parents & Parishioners: Don’t throw away that empty inkjet cartridge! Send it to EMPTIES4CASH Empty inkjet cartridges can be recycled and remanufactured. Our school will receive $4.00 for each cartridge turned in. This will directly benefit our school, the students, and even the environment. You can help! Any ink cartridges with a print head can be recycled regardless of brand or type. Bring all cartridges to a designated cartridge box located in front of the Computer classroom in the Parish Hall. Thank you for your support! The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is “a gradual process that takes place within the community of the faithful.” The length of time of the process varies according to individual need, experience, readiness and commitment. If you, or someone you know is interested in more information, please call Cathy Drake at the Office of Religious Education at (908) 964-7533. ~~~also~~~ If you are not a Catholic, but attracted to the Catholic Church, or a Catholic needing to complete your Sacraments of Initiation (Eucharist or Confirmation), It is a time set aside for asking questions and exploring God’s call in an informal setting. There are no commitments or obligations required, only questions answered and information shared. Again, call Cathy Drake at 908 964-7533. Something to Pray About We are in need of Catechists and class aides. Please prayerfully consider sharing our faith and its traditions with the youth of Holy Spirit Church. Classes are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:45—5:00PM. If you are willing and able to share in this valuable ministry, please call the Office of Religious Education at 964-7533. Thank you. Religious Education Summer Schedule We are open through the Summer. However, due to vacation schedules, please call the office at 908-964-7533 to make sure someone is available. Thank you. Religious Education Re-Registration Re-Registration has begun for the 2012 – 2013 Religious Education Program. Please send or drop off your registrations as soon as possible. Re-registration materials were sent to each family who had a child in the program this year. If you did not receive this mailing please call the Office of Religious Education at 908 964-7533. Please note that registration forms are now also available online at www.holyspiritunion.org. Simply download the form and return it in the mail. New Registrations for Religious Education If you need to register a child going into the first grade or have recently moved into the area, now is the time to register for the 2012-2013 Religious Education Program. To register your child, please stop by the office to fill out the necessary materials. Please bring a copy of the child’s Baptismal Certificate when registering.
