Technical Requirements 

Additional information in regard to the specifications in the catalogue is provided below. 

1. Scope of use 

a. The luxlift should only be used for the maintenance of luminaires and related products. All other usage of luxlift 

is prohibited. 

b. The luxlift is not designed for continuous operation of raising and lowering. 

2. Atmosphere 

a. The luxlift is designed for indoor use only. 

b. The luxlift may only be installed in clean, dry rooms (IP 0), unless used with IP5 box/kit. 

c. Locations where luxlift is exposed to vibration or high winds are not recommended. 

d. Minimum required height for luxlift is .7m. 

e. Corrosive gases such as chlorine, hydrogen sulphide, sulpher dioxide, etc., may impair parts of luxlift. 

Such gases are generally found in swimming pools and factories, where these gases are used as disinfectants, 

and on poultry, swine and cattle farms.

Counterweights may have to be used so that the lift coupler can always travel into the main unit of the luxlift

6. Maintenance 

In order to maintain the highest performance, the luxlift must be operated at least every six months, and the 

following visual checks must be conducted. Maintenance of the main unit is not necessary.
