At FAKRO we continually look forways to innovate and improve our designs, not just with new roofwindows but existing ones. In 2012 this yet again enabled us to setan industry standard as we achieved Passive House certification ofour industry leading quadruple-glazed FTT U8 Thermo. The FTT U8offers an amazing U-value of 0.58 W/m 2 K and provides the idealsolution for airtight designs.NBS Plus - FAKRO specification clauses are available via NBS Plus.This enables concise, technically accurate and up-to-date informationin relation to our extensive range of roof windows and roofingaccessories to be copied and pastedFIRST ON THE UK MARKETIn the same way, we led the market by becoming the first roofwindow manufacturer to secure BBA certification - as long ago as2002. Today, many more of our products are accredited including ourpopular ranges of centre pivot, top hung and pivot and side hungwindows. This includes products in conservation style and the highlythermally efficient FTT U6 triple-glazed window while, for specifiersand buyers in Ireland we also have Irish Agrément Board (IAB)certification.The NHBC accepts the use of Fakro Roof Windows, when installedand used in accordance with BBA certificates in relation to NHBCStandards.Our roof windows offer scope for you to buy or specify productsusing timber from sustainable sources; indeed we are the only suchmanufacturer to offer FSC certification for the higher quality,close-grain redwood pine which we use. We also design all windowsto be stripped down for recycling of all parts which, combinedwith the use of sustainable timber, shows the extent of ourcommitment to environmental issues.TÜV SÜD accreditation is currently less well known in the UK but in2011 UKAS appointed it as a Notified Organisation for constructionproducts. TÜV SÜD partners manufacturers of all kinds of buildingmaterials to ensure that quality, safety and environmentalsustainability requirements are met. By securing accreditation,FAKRO has once again been among the first to confirm itscommitment to key quality standards.CE marking provides a passport that enables a construction product,irrespective of its origin, to be legally placed on the market of all EUmember states. Unlike some manufacturers, FAKRO declares fulldetails of performance for all points which make up a CE mark,yet more evidence that our products exceed minimum standards forhealth, safety and economy of energy.6
