the citizens. They investigate data security
breaches and produce a written evaluation.
They investigate data processing the authorities
in Schleswig-Holstein. Breaches of the data
protection law reported and remedial measures
are presented.
They advise authorities, businesses and citizens
on all aspects of data protection, e.g. when
setting up new computer systems, issues of
interpretation of the data protection law or
legislation. Every year they report on their
activities in an annual report.
The Federation of German Consumer
Organisations (vzbv) is a nongovernmental
organisation acting as an umbrella for 41 German
consumer associations. It represents the interests
of consumers in public and vis-à-vis legislators,
the private sector and civil society.
