At the helm of NUDC leadership is the Under Secretary forPacification and Development, under whom, the Programme Manager and an AssistantProgramme Manager oversee the day-to-day operations of the technical team. A comprehensiveprofile of the NUDC is provided in the following sections.NUDC REGIONAL PRESENCEThe Northern Uganda Data Center aims to establish a nation-wide presence as partof its long-term data and information service aspirations. At present, the Center has functionalbranches in the sub-regions of Acholi, and Karamoja. The NUDC plans to operationalizebranches in the sub-regions of Bukedi, Bunyoro, Elgon, Lango, Teso and West Nile.RESOURCE BASEThe Center prides in capacity manifested its resource base comprising qualified andexperienced staff, software and hardware resources, membership to networks and communitiesof practice, as well as goodwill from Government of Uganda, Development CooperationPartners and other actors.Hardware ResourcesNUDC’s hardware resources include Servers, Personal Computers, Large FormatPrinting Devices (Plotters), Global Positioning System (GPS) devices for collection ofgeo-referenced information, Printers and Scanners, Photocopiers, Cameras, phonehandsets and general office support tools.
