Using Items<br />

Stroke while holding down /<br />

Stroke toward opp<strong>on</strong>ent<br />
An item will appear when you touch a ? panel. Once you get an item, stroke to<br />
throw it. Some items become effective the instant you grab them.<br />
Switching Characters<br />
If you briefly press when you d<strong>on</strong>’t have the ball, you’ll switch to a<br />
teammate near the ball. If you stroke while holding down , you’ll switch<br />
to a teammate in the directi<strong>on</strong> you stroked.<br />
HELP BUTTONS<br />
While <str<strong>on</strong>g>Mario</str<strong>on</strong>g> Hoops 3-<strong>on</strong>-3 is mainly c<strong>on</strong>trolled<br />
<strong>on</strong> the Touch Screen during matches, if you<br />
turn <strong>on</strong> Help Butt<strong>on</strong> in the Opti<strong>on</strong>s (p. 25) or<br />
pause menu (p. 14) screens, you can also<br />
c<strong>on</strong>trol the game with butt<strong>on</strong>s.<br />

The above shows c<strong>on</strong>trols for right-handed players (select Right from<br />
Hand Selecti<strong>on</strong> under Opti<strong>on</strong>s). If you set the game to left-handed<br />
c<strong>on</strong>trols, c<strong>on</strong>trols change to and c<strong>on</strong>trol<br />
switches to (p. 25).<br />
