If your documentation is in alanguage other than English, an officialcertified translation must be provided. Details of work experience, if applicable. Certified copies of English proficiency testresults (IELTS/TOEFL test scores orequivalent), if applicable. This term tends to be usedinterchangeably in Australian universities withthe terms Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL),exemptions, advanced standing and/or status.How to apply for CreditSubmit a program or unit (subject) syllabuswith your application for admission. Yourapplication will be assessed and if successfulyou will receive advice in your letter of offer. Ifthe Credit is conditional, you must provideevidence that you have satisfactorily met thecondition(s) prior to or at the time of acceptingyour offer. The course duration shown in yourletter of offer will reflect the amount ofCredit granted.If you do not request assessment of Creditwhen you submit your application, you mustrequest assessment within two weeks ofcommencing the program. Applications madeafter this time may not be approved. Allapplication must be approved by your faculty.Accepting your offerIf your application is successful, you will bemade an offer. The offer will include: the course you have been offered commencement, enrolment and orientationdate the tuition fee deposit payable whichincludes:- for International students: medicalinsurance, processing fee and securitydeposit- for Malaysian students: application fee the conditions attached to the offer any additional information relevant to yourcourseTo accept your Swinburne Sarawak offer, youare required to make payment of fees stated inthe offer letter.PaymentPlease refer to the Offer Acceptance Form forthe mode of payment and banking details.Payment, preferably by bank draft or cheque,is to be made payable to Swinburne SarawakSdn Bhd.Payment can also be made by credit card ortelegraphic transfer. Please provide a copy ofthe transaction slip to the BusinessDevelopment and Communications Division.Applying for your Student Visa (forInternational students)Once the required documents and paymenthave been received, and your application forenrolment into Swinburne Sarawak isaccepted, the University will apply for your visa(Student Pass) with the Malaysian ImmigrationDepartment on your behalf.You will have to wait for the Visa ApprovalLetter which Swinburne Sarawak will courierto you.With the Visa Approval Letter in hand, you areto proceed to the Malaysian Embassy orconsulate as indicated in the letter to obtain aSingle <strong>Entry</strong> Visa with Reference into Malaysia.At this stage, you can also start making yourtravel arrangements.After arriving at Swinburne Sarawak, you willbe required to undergo a final medical test (noadditional charge).Your passport and medical result will then besubmitted to the Malaysian ImmigrationDepartment for conversion into a Student Pass(subject to final medical clearance), with thetotal duration depending on your programduration and your passport validity.
