NATIONAL PROSECUTING AUTHORITY – VOTE 24 For the year ended 31 March <strong>2012</strong>Eleven of the proposed 13 reports on the reporting capability for the AFU were developed and areawaiting approval. A further process of re-evaluating the AFU system requirements commenced.ICT InfrastructureServer replacement and systems redesign project was completed in the regions. Final integration athead office was hampered by the failure of the Storage Area Network and email server functionality.User authentication server migration, i.e. Active Directory Migration was fully completed. All sites areelevated to the latest platform, Microsoft Active Directory 2008 R2. All <strong>NPA</strong>’s wide area network isinter-operable.Email migration to Exchange 2010 was completed. This tool implementation places the <strong>NPA</strong> library as a leading library in termsof subscription management.• The Library Services have procured 440 copies of the 4 key publications identified for prosecutors andwas distributed to all aspirant and graduate prosecutors within three months.• Regional library visits were undertaken to establish the status of each. Matters raised in feedbackreports were addressed.• All heritage assets in the Cape Town library were added to the library management system and anarchive established where these items are kept in conditions suitable for the preservation of archivalmaterial.61
