Superior Beam Profile Quality• Patented solutions for homogenous beam profilesHomogeneity of a laser beam profile ensures safety duringtreatment since laser energy is evenly distributed acrossthe treated area. Epidermal damage is minimized and therisks of bleeding, tissue splatter and transient texturalchanges in the skin are decreased.Achieving homogeneous beam profiles has been a greatchallenge for the laser industry due to the non-linearity ofQ-switched lasers. Fotona’s QX MAX advanced Q-switchedlaser technology relies on groundbreaking solutions suchas patented OPTOflex® and Vacuum Cell Technologies toproduce almost perfectly homogeneous beam profiles.laser flashlamp is activated only when actual laser outputis required. A much lower burden on the laser system isimposed, resulting in a longer flashlamp lifetime and lowercosts of laser system maintenance.OPTOflex ® beam profile• Longer System Lifetime - 100 % flashlamp pulseutilizationMost standard Q-switched laser systems can only achievestable output during laser beam operation by ensuringthat their flashlamps are pulsed internally at a constantlyhigh repetition rate, even when the operator selects asingle-pulse or low repetition rate mode. As a result thelaser system and especially the flashlamp, one of themost important components can burn out prematurelydue to overuse. This is not the case with the QX MAX’spatented Vacuum Cell & OPTOflex technology, where theOPTOflex ® TechnologyState-of-the-art, patented OPTOflex ® articulatedarms are ideal for transmitting high-powerlaser energy, such as from Q-switched lasers, onto the skin. OPTOflex ® is specifically designedto efficiently transmit the laser beamwithout losing energy or changing the beam’soriginal properties. The shape and magnitudeof the aiming beam enhances visibility, allowing for easier, faster treatments and greaterprecision. Its ergonomic design allows the handpieceto naturally follow hand movement duringprocedures, further enhancing treatmentprecision and accuracy.OPTOflex ® is light, compact and folds backto decrease system height. With an unlimitedrange of motion and laser quality benefitsunlike any other beam delivery system,OPTOflex ® is definitive of the next generationin laser delivery systems for high-power lasers.OPTOflex ® enables high quality beam delivery.

Four Wavelengths - Complete Pigment RangeLaser wavelength must be considered when removingpigments from skin, especially with complex multicoloredtattoos and vascular lesions. The wavelengthdetermines which pigment color or chromophore thetreating laser’s energy will be predominantly absorbedin for selectively removal. To ensure safe and effectivetreatments you’ll need various wavelengths to treat awide range of pigmented lesions. The QX MAX offers four wavelengths in one single system:- 1064 nm Nd:YAG to treat and remove dark pigments,- 532 nm KTP for lighter pigments, vascular lesions andred, tan, purple and orange tattoo inks,- 650 nm dye for green tattoo inks,- 585 nm dye for sky blues and vascular lesions. This selection of wavelengths provides the ability to treata plethora of pigmented and vascular lesions as well as toremove even the most complex, multi-colored tattoos.Courtesy of Kozarev J.BeforeComplete removalin 5 sessionsA Stable & Multi-functional Laser SourceThe QX MAX’s Nd:YAG laser has the ideal 1064 nmwavelength upon which to base a multi-functional pigmentremoval laser system. Its wavelength is minimally absorbedin melanin, allowing it to be used safely in all darker skintypes - a characteristic that has led the Nd:YAG laser tobecome a gold standard in aesthetic medicine. In addition,Nd:YAG laser rods do not contain Cr 3+ ions and aretherefore not as sensitive to environmental and operationaltemperature changes as other commonly used Q-switchedlaser wavelengths. The Nd:YAG nanosecond laser is alsothe ideal modality to start wavelength conversion to attainother treatment wavelengths. The QX MAX incorporates a built-in frequency conversiontechnology to obtain the 532 nm (green) wavelength, anddye laser wavelength conversion handpieces are availableto expand the QX MAX’s wavelength range to include the585 nm (red) and 650 nm (yellow) wavelengths. With theadditional support of sub-millisecond Accelera infraredpulse technology, the QX MAX can thus be safely andeffectively used in all common aesthetic treatments, including acne and wrinkle reduction.WavelengthQX MAX dye laser handpieces.
