This protectivecoating has limitations and in time may deteriorate from handling, cleaning or exposure to atmospheric conditions such asextreme climate, pollution, proximity to salt water, humidity and ultraviolet rays. Eventual tarnishing is, therefore, not a defect,but a normal process which is unavoidable. With proper care, these products will last a lifetime.MAINTENANCEProper care and maintenance will retard deterioration. Clean only with water and polish dry with a soft, clean cloth. Never useharsh abrasives or any detergent containing ammonia.SOLID BRASS REFINISHINGShould oxidation (tarnishing) occur on those items made of solid brass, the original lustrous finish can be restored by removingany remaining lacquer and polishing the solid brass surface.
