Guides to further readingon most subjects have been compiled by the American HistoricalAssociation (A Guide to Historical Literature, periodically revised) andfor the use of students by some Oxford teachers; A select list of works onEurope and Europe overseas 1715-1815, edited by J. Bruun, *Europe and the French Imperium (1938) andF. B. Artz, * Reaction and Revolution 1814-32 (1934). Bibliographicallythe most useful of the series is Clio, which is aimed at students andperiodically brought up-to-date; note especially the sections summarizingcurrent historical debate.
