Welcometo <strong>The</strong> <strong>Meadows</strong> <strong>Care</strong> Home<strong>The</strong> <strong>Meadows</strong> is a purpose built two storey residential <strong>Care</strong> Homesituated in <strong>Boldon</strong>, and is within easy access of North Road shopsand other amenities including local transport. <strong>The</strong> Meadow <strong>Care</strong>Home offers different levels of care to suit a wide range of needsincluding general residential care and residential care for peoplewith dementia. We also offer care for those who require longand short term respite care.“We have a good team of staff who are friendly and supportive.<strong>The</strong> home has recently been refurbished and everyone hasmade comment on how welcoming and attractive the home is”.<strong>The</strong> Home Manager <strong>Meadows</strong> <strong>Care</strong> Home<strong>The</strong> <strong>Meadows</strong> is well equipped, comfortable and maintainedto a high standard. <strong>The</strong>re are beautiful landscaped gardenssurrounding the home and a sensory garden for residentsand visitors to enjoy. Most of the bedrooms have lovelyviews overlooking the gardens.


First Class <strong>Care</strong>A recent CQC inspection stated that‘Service users said that they are able tomake decisions for themselves, and theyare happy with all aspects of care theyreceive. One relative said “my motherreceives good care and support, the staffare always helpful and my mother hassettled here very well”’. <strong>The</strong> home hasbeen rated 2 star ‘good’ by CQC.Our person centred approach meansthat each resident is an individual treatedwith respect and dignity. Each residenthas a named key worker and anindividual care plan. This will cover theirpersonal and medical history, as wellas a record of particular activities theyenjoy and any cultural or religiousaspects of their care.Residents, and where appropriate theirfamilies, are involved as far as practicalin the decisions regarding their care.Emphasis on all aspects of care is theManager’s primary concern and,together with the experiencedteam of qualified staff, all adhereto rigorous standards with internalaudits and checks.At <strong>Meadows</strong> <strong>Care</strong> Home, we havean excellent working relationship withthe partners from the local GP practice.We very much recognise the importanceof personal, individual and residentfocused care. To achieve this, goodcommunication between all membersof the care team, be they nurses,carers, relatives or doctors, is essential.


Facilities<strong>The</strong> <strong>Meadows</strong> <strong>Care</strong> Home has brightspacious lounges, one with a flat screentelevision and one as a quiet lounge forrelaxing in. All the bedrooms have theirown private facilities and all haveunder-floor heating and are singleoccupancy with most having views outonto the gardens. <strong>The</strong> large landscapedgardens have patio areas with ampleseating for residents and visitors to sit andrelax in summer; we also have a sensorygarden where residents can explore thesights, smells and sounds which has provento be beneficial to residents’ health.<strong>The</strong>re is an inviting communal diningroom where the Chef serves a varietyof nutritious home cooked food thatresidents enjoy. “<strong>The</strong> food is well cookedand tasty and the menu is very goodand varied. <strong>The</strong> cook is always willingto find an alternative if I don’t fancy whatis on offer.
