The rudder remains fully controllable by therudder stick. The mixer can be switched on and off byan external switch allocated via code 23. For speedflight (code 52) the mixer is, in principle, automaticallyturned off. After calling code 41, the mix quota can be adjustedusing the INC and DEC keys (in 1% steps) and the6 or 8 key (in 10% steps), and set to 0 by pressingthe CLEAR key, with direction of the mix beingchanged by pressing the TURN key.+ 5 5 %An adjustable amount of aileron control can be mixedinto the flap channel, via code 42, so the flaps will bedeflected in the manner of the ailerons on operationof the ailerons, though normally with lesser deflection. The advantage of this arrangement is increased rateof roll and reduced drag at the same rate of roll, as aresult of the reduced aileron deflection required and amore uniform lift distribution along the span of thewing. The mixer can be switched on and off by anexternal switch set with code 23.After calling code 42, the mix quota can be adjustedusing the INC and DEC keys (in 1% steps) and the6 or 8 key (in 10% steps), and set to 0 by pressingthe CLEAR key, with direction of the mix beingchanged by pressing the TURN key.The trim mixer can be switched on and off bypressing the 5 key.o f s - 7 3 + s + 4 5 %An adjustable amount of flap control can be mixedinto the aileron channel, via code 49, so the aileronswill be deflected in the manner of the flaps onoperation of the flaps, though normally with reduceddeflection. The advantage of this arrangement isreduced drag and a more uniform lift distributionalong the span of the wing. After calling code 49, the offset adjustments may beperformed first, that is the mixer has to been informedwhich position to the operating element for the flaps(normally a slider-type potentiometer in channel 6) willoccupy in normal flight (with the flaps in the neutralposition). To this end the operating element is setaccordingly and then the STORE key is pressed. The offset from the neutral position is shown on thelower line of the display). The mix quota can be adjusted using the INC andDEC keys (in 1% steps) and the 6 or 8 key (in10% steps), and set to 0 by pressing the CLEARkey, with direction of the mix being changed bypressing the TURN key.Code 49 permits adjusting unequal mix quota anddirections. In the course of programming theoperating element for the flaps has to be set to theend required to be adjusted.40
