EditorialSHaarei TikvaH/ TiSHrei 5773SHaarei TikvaH/ TiSHrei 5773Mail BoxDear A TIME,i usually don’t take the time to comment, but here,as hakaras hatov, and due to the very special work youdid in the recent, as well as in the previous, magazine, which is full of chizuk and very informative, i’d just liketo express my warmest wishes to all of you. May you merit a lotof bracha and further hatzlacha in all your endeavors.i still didn’t read the entire issue, but so far i really enjoyedreading -among others (i don’t remember all at the moment)- the ‘The Whole Hole Point’ (Chanuka 5772), as well as the Yiddishsection full of chizuk; it was very nice.i also want to mention the humor articles and poems; theywere amazing.keep up your great work and hatzlacha rabba!-Dear A TIME,a good friend of mine picked up the Pesach issue onerev Pesach and hung it on my doorknob! What a surprise!i can’t thank you enough for the inspiration and chizuk youhave imbued within me. Somehow it always feels like i’m theonly one suffering, but reading the magazine makes me feel validated!People are actually going through the same situation asi am. The articles are so well written and pertinent. i especiallyenjoyed the humor section! Thanks again and may we only sharein simchas!Dear Brany,i've been meaning to send this letter since Pesach...since i got the latest issue of the magazine. How heartwarmingit was for me to find my "Lag Ba'Omer inMeron" poem in the magazine, especially since this LagBa'Omer was to be the upsherin of my precious little Shimon...who fulfilled a promise we made more than 17 years ago. When i wrote that poem for the "Dear Chanie, Dear Yehudis"column, i hadn't been to Meron on Lag Ba'Omer; i was compelledto write from my heart and from the accounts of thosewho had been there. BH i had the zechus to be there last year,to say "Yasher Koach" for my little yingele. This year, we celebratedthe milestone of his upsherin exactly on Lag Ba'Omer day- a mere two weeks after his birthday. it was therefore especiallypoignant for me to read the poem i wrote so many years ago, when both a yingele named Shimon and even a trip to rabi Shimonwere both faraway dreams... Thank you for the reminder ofall my Shimmie represents - the tears, the prayers, the hope andthe joy. May we be zoche to besuros tovos for all, in the zechusof rabi Shimon bar Yochai.attached please find two pictures from Shimmie's upsherinday. Not tomention the fabulous a TiMe staff who outdid themselvesin every aspect, from all the prep until after the actual conferenceday!Tizku l’mitzvos and thanks again.Dear A TIME,if i would have all the time in the world, and iwould know that all of you would have all the time inthe world, too, to read it, i would write a whole longemail with all the positive responses about the conference. But for now, just know that words are not enoughto convey our thanks. it was totally unbelievable!First of all, the sensitivity to put MF on a separate floor, the endo workshop all the way at the end, and to cover thewindows... WOW! WOW! The fact that we were all aroundtables, and not just lined up was great! i feel like we all gotfree consultations everywhere! How amazing!all in all, a big yasher koach for all the hard work!! We aLLappreciate it! even the ones who are too shy to say so. :)Tizku lemitzvos! and thank you!!P.B.Dear A TIME,i just wanted to thank you for this amazing day weexperienced! i was in such awe, but no longer surprised, because this was so a TiMe!! The professionalism, relevance, great atmosphere, and intellectualism were justmind-blowing!The set-up was gorgeous, the presenters were amazingly engaging(at least wherever i went), the program was so wellrounded, and everyone found their niche. Never mind, and we gotto talk to our doctors without paying the exorbitant fee that usuallycomes along with it. :) it was such a treat!it was such a nice combination of knowledge, some time tospend with friends, beautiful words of chizuk, and a peek into thefuture, as well. and of course, having you all there with your classicwarmth just almost makes all this worth it.My only regret was that i couldn’t attend more than one workshopat a time...Thanks for everything! Hakadosh Baruch Hu yeshalaim sechoron! We would love to hear from you! Please email your submissions, comments, and suggestions tomagazine@atime.org.76
