HYDRO <str<strong>on</strong>g>2012</str<strong>on</strong>g>Euskalduna Palacio De C<strong>on</strong>gresos, BilbaoM<strong>on</strong>day 29 to Wednesday 31 October <str<strong>on</strong>g>2012</str<strong>on</strong>g>FIRE AND SAFETY REGULATIONS OF THE VENUE1) SMOKING <strong>and</strong> manipulati<strong>on</strong> with open fire are PROHIBITED during organisati<strong>on</strong> of individual social,cultural, sales, sports or other events within the entire hotel, including its hallways <strong>and</strong> terraces.2) All escape routes must be kept free at all times, not blocked by any objects which could hinder possibleevacuati<strong>on</strong>, <strong>and</strong> must have a minimal passage width of 2 m between the rows of st<strong>and</strong>s if these form ac<strong>on</strong>tinuous line/s/. Between the sides of individual st<strong>and</strong>s, a proper access to these st<strong>and</strong>s, i.e. to each <strong>on</strong>eseparately, must be secured, with minimal spacing of 85 cm.3) Individual profiles of escape routes <strong>and</strong> exits, electricity distributi<strong>on</strong> boxes, main switches, <strong>and</strong> media seals(gas, electricity, water etc.) must not be blocked or narrowed. The same rule applies to all facilities forprovisi<strong>on</strong> of fire protecti<strong>on</strong>, i. e. fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, electric fire alarm sensors (EPS), heads ofstati<strong>on</strong>ary extinguishing systems (sprinklers).4) Should the st<strong>and</strong> positi<strong>on</strong> be located close to glass surfaces of the building perimeter, it is necessary tokeep to so-called fire dividing z<strong>on</strong>e with the minimum distance of 150 cm from the glass surfaces. Noflammable or fire-supporting material may be located close to glass area of the outer surface of thebuilding. This area must be kept free at all times; no material is to be stored therein.5) Exhibitors are required to document (by respective certificates <strong>on</strong> call of the local fire department) firecharacteristics of used substances <strong>and</strong> materials (wood, fabric...) including impregnati<strong>on</strong> treatment (ifapplied) of flammable materials (flammability – I, II, III class) with valid certificates. Excepti<strong>on</strong>s must bediscussed in advance <strong>and</strong> approved by a competent pers<strong>on</strong>.6) Within all premises of the hotel it is generally prohibited to use, store, or h<strong>and</strong>le in any way flammable orfire-supporting substances or liquids, bottled-gas burners, cookers <strong>and</strong> portable heating (both gas <strong>and</strong>electric), as well as pressure tanks (bottles) filled with propane-butane or other compressed technicalgases.7) The lessee is obliged to ensure that the maximum number of pers<strong>on</strong>s in individual rooms/areas is notexceeded, with regard to evacuati<strong>on</strong> capacity possibilities.8) All welding <strong>and</strong> cutting works, either using welding sets (gas, oxygen), or using electricity (resistancewelding), or using electric grinding saw etc., need to be permitted by the Organisers <strong>and</strong> the Hotel.18
