AROUND>THE BENDREADY TO RALLY IN PHOENIXThe race will be on when thousands of RVers descend on thePhoenix International Raceway for the first of the three 2012Good Sam Rallies, March 22 through 25. And Rally staff willdefinitely have the welcome mat out for members and guestswith one of the strongest programs ever offered.There’s going to be something for everyone, with an outstandinglineup of entertainment that includes two headliningacts – legendary comedian Bill Cosby (March 23) and platinumcountry music recording artist Martina McBride (March 24).The Rally isn’t just about the nightly entertainment. A hugetrade show will be open each day, with the latest and greatestRVs of all shapes and sizes on display.Hundreds of exhibitor booths will have all the accessoriesnecessary to enhance the RV experience. The annual Rally DogShow and Parade will allow RV pups to strut their stuff and participatein fun competitions. And thanks to Coast to Coast Resorts,the Rally will hold its first Veterans Salute, where veteransare invited to don whatever part of their uniforms still fitsand be honored as they march with their service branch.The Good Sam Rallies offer a wide range of informativeseminars for both experienced and novice RVers. In Phoenix,it’ll offer an RV Safe Driving Course by the RV Safety Foundation.Upon completion,participantsmay be able to getdiscounts on vehicle insurance from select insurance companies.Other seminars include a four-hour Dutch oven cookingcourse from local chef Barbara Kennedy and a 1931 campingdisplay by historian David Woodworth.Rally volunteers will also put in a community service day atthe Tres Rios Wetlands project, which provides a home formany native and non-native species of wildlife. All three 2012Rallies are also supporting Project Linus by knitting and donatingblankets for children in need throughout the country.Camping World will sponsor its popular Match ‘N’ Wingame, where Rally-goers find a partner with the same identificationnumber and are then eligible to win thousands of dollarsin merchandise. And all Rally guests will receive and have theopportunity to earn Good Sam “Smiles” – tickets that will bedrawn for major prizes throughout the Rally.Good Sam will also host Rallies in Louisville, Kentucky, June21 through 24, and in Daytona Beach, Florida, November 2through 4.
