BILL CURRYA name synonomous with CLASS AND INTEGRITY inthe coaching profession, BILL CURRY is the architect andbuilder of GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY FOOTBALLas the program’s first head coach.The Atlanta native and former head coach at GeorgiaTech, Alabama and Kentucky was introducedon June 12, 2008, eight weeks after the footballprogram was officially launched on April 17.Curry is developing and directing the football programin every area in preparation for Georgia State’s firstseason in the fall of 2010.Curry brings 17 years of experience as a head coach inthe Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference--includingCoach of the Year awards in both leaguesaswell as an All-Pro playing career in the National FootballLeague, and, most recently, national notoriety as a collegefootball analyst for ESPN.In the NFL, he participated in three Super Bowls andtwo Pro Bowls. As a center, Curry snapped the ball to legendaryquarterbacks Bart Starr and Johnny Unitas, andhe played for two of the most highly-regarded coaches inprofessional sports history in Vince Lombardi and DonShula.
