2010 PHCC Manufacturer’s Rep of the YearDave Faustina2010 PHCC SUPPLIER OF THE YEARPickrel Bros.This award is given to the Manufacturers’ Representativewho has supported the PHCC Association, the industry as awhole, and our individual members.Dave Faustina is a fairly new representative for WolverineBrass, but his commitment and experience in the PHC industryhas been years in the making. Approximately 23 years ago hestarted working at The Plumbing Source in Solon, Ohio andwas the first employee hired by owner/brother, Greg Faustina.A career in plumbing seemed inevitable for Dave whenWolverine Brass was looking for a special individual torepresent and bring quality products and service to NortheastOhio. Wolverine Brass hired Dave and he has been diligentlyserving the area for the past 3 years.The members that nominated him stated, “He’s alwayslooking out for the contractor’s best interest…Being in theindustry before, he understands contractors needs and is veryattentive and knowledgeable.” Another went on to say, “Heand his company are very supportive of all PHCC events, henot only helps with his time, but he also supplies whatever isneeded to make the event a success…”The Supplier of the Year Award is given to a supplier orwholesaler who has been supportive of the industry and whoprovides assistance to our members.This year’s winner, Pickrel Bros., has demonstrated theirsupport through ongoing sponsorship of the Ohio Conventionand EXPO. Locally, they support and donate to many of DaytonPHCC’s social activities and events. They also attend all themonthly business meetings and provide speakers on newproducts.They are one of the Midwest’s leading providers of pipe,valves, fittings, plumbing supplies, heating and industrialsupplies.Their grandfather was an insulation contractor and boughtout the supply company from the owner in 1954…Our winners,4 brothers, then bought the company from their father. Thecompany currently has 50 employees and they have workedwith numerous plumbing contractors including: Schmitt,Stebbins, Waker and Ritter.One of the brothers, Jim Pickrel, said, “We would benothing without our plumbing contractors and we are grateful tohave their support, business and the relationships that exist…”16 OHIO PHC CONTRACTOR • Volume 2011, Issue 1
