4 5The Rondamat grinding system:for profile ground and face grindingTooling consists of a cutter head and a knife. You can produce alarge number of different profile shapes with one and the sametool body, selecting the most suitable knife for different material.Mill-to-pattern tools, by contrast, are bonded tools, i.e. the knivesand the tool bodies are a single unit. Each individual tool can onlybe used for one profile. WEINIG’s grinders are ideal for both typesof tool, producing quality results and ensuring long tool lives.Profile ground knives are shaped andresharpened to a profile template onthe back of the knife. This ensures absoluteprofile precision and optimum cuttingangles for all types of species andmaterials. Sharp tools, perfectly groundfor precision running.Mill-to-pattern cutter heads aresharpened at the face. Individually or aset – you always achieve maximumprecision with the Rondamat. Mill-topatterntools are used for makingspecial parts such as dowels, grooves,and profiles for edge gluing.

Its tolerance is below0.002“! Production packages areavailable for customising it into a tailormadeprofile knife grinder. Naturally, itcan also be used for PowerLock tools.Rondamat 970This machine is designed for manuallyproducing profile knives and for automaticregrinding. Straight knives canalso be reground. The amount of sideclearance angle can be pre-selected. TheRondamat 970 also accepts PowerLocktools.
