A r t i c u late O p p o rtunity t o <strong>BSIM</strong>, H K UOn 21 th December 2011, Dr Alvin Kwan from the University <strong>of</strong> Hong Kong, gave anintroduc<strong>to</strong>ry seminar on the articulation opportunities <strong>to</strong> one <strong>of</strong> their <strong>to</strong>p-up programmes,BSc in Information Management (<strong>BSIM</strong>), <strong>to</strong> our year 2 students studying AScABS, AScISDand AScNSA. There were 22 participants attended the seminar.Dr. Kwan first gave a brief summary on the his<strong>to</strong>ry <strong>of</strong> the programme, followed by theprogramme curriculum and admission requirement. “This two-years programme isspecially design for sub-degree holders and has successfully recruited students from IT andbusiness disciplines. It is particularly suitable for students who would like <strong>to</strong> broaden theirunderstanding <strong>of</strong> information management from a user-based, less technically orientedperspective. The programme is UGC-funded and awarded by The University <strong>of</strong> Hong Kong.We’ll consider those applicants with CGPA 3.3 or above and select <strong>BSIM</strong> as their first choicefor an interview in around March and April.
