It currentlyoperates 12 plants, nine of which are locatedin Citeureup, Bogor, West Java; two inPalimanan, Cirebon, West Java; and one inTarjun, Kotabaru, South Kalimantan.Since 2005, the Company has diversifiedits product range by introducing PortlandComposite Cement (PCC) in the market.The Company also produces other types ofcement namely Portland Cement Type I, TypeII and Type V, as well as Oil Well Cement andWhite Cement. To date, Indocement is theonly White Cement producer in Indonesia.The Company’s products are marketed underthe brand name of ‘Tiga Roda’.In 2001, HeidelbergCement Group, basedin Germany and the world’s leading cementproducer with operations in 50 countries,assumed a controlling majority shareholdingof the Company. Since then, the Company hasfocused on regaining financial sustainability,which was lost during the Asian financialcrisis. With the support of HeidelbergCementGroup, Indocement has refocused itsactivities on the core business of producingcement, with the ultimate goal of achievingfinancial strength.In 2007, Indocement completed a majorrevamping of its Plant 8 in Citeureup, whichprovided the Company with an additionalannual capacity of 600 thousand tons ofcement.As part of its corporate social responsibilityprograms, Indocement succeeded indeveloping a 30 hectare plantation ofjatropha trees out of mined over limestoneland. Indocement also initiated a successfulcommunity waste-collection program.
