cosmetologyThis program prepares students for a successful career in the cosmetology industry. Students enroll inthe program for two academic years including one summer semester. Students accumulate 1500 clockhours, which are required for them to be eligible to take the VT State Cosmetology Licensing Examination.Successful students in this program must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and practiceprofessionalism in all interactions. Embedded academics in the areas of business and finance, cosmeticchemistry, and language arts are an integral part of the program.Begin an exciting career in thecosmetology field.Learn to master all aspects ofcosmetology; hair, skin, nails,design and sculpture.Graduate with 1500 hours of training,earn a high school diploma, and atage 18 you may sit for the StateBoard exam and begin working in asalon or spa.27
