SPIKE ITWITH STRIKER

SPIKE IT WITH STRIKERWeeds ControlledBeforegerminationSeedlings (lessthan 4 true leaf)>>>>Striker isa contactand residualherbicide foruse in a widerange ofsituationsincluding:seedbed preparationand fallow weed controlbefore sowing wintercereals and cotton;fruit trees, nut treesand vines (not lessthan 3 years old);before transplantingbrassica vegetables; andwoodlots andforestry plantings.Striker providesfast burndownof hard-to-killweeds includingannual Nettles &MarshmallowSpike it with Striker before sowingwinter cereals and cottonStriker is an excellent tank mix additive or ‘Spike’ for non-selectiveherbicides used in seedbed preparation and fallow weed controlsituations. The addition of a low rate of Striker (75 mL/ha) willimprove knockdown and increase the speed at which treated weedsdevelop visible symptoms of phytotoxicity (compared to resultsachieved with Roundup alone).Striker is the recommended tank mix partner for spike applicationsof all broadacre glyphosate formulations (Roundup ® PowerMAX TM ,Roundup ® CT, Roundup ® Dry and Credit ® +Bonus ® ). Its use providesfast burndown and control of hard-to-kill weeds including annualNettles (Urtica spp.) and Marshmallow (Malva parviflora). Striker isalso compatible with paraquat (Nuquat ® 250).The fast action of Striker means less weed competition. Andbecause there are no timing restrictions on sowing after theapplication of Striker, growers have increased flexibility withestablishing winter cereals and cotton crops.Striker in fruit and nut trees, vines, vegetables and forestryStriker controls both grass and broadleaf weeds by contact andresidual activity. Depending on the crop, it can be applied whetherweeds are present or not (refer to label for more information).Striker binds tightly to soil particles, does not damage tree roots, and does not leach to groundwater. This favourable environmentalprofile makes it ideal for use in the establishment of orchards, andvery safe on dormant trees and vines.Striker is compatible with most commonly used knockdownherbicides including Roundup, Roundup PowerMAX, Credit+Bonus,Weedmaster TM Duo, Nuquat 250 and Amitrole T.Residual weed controlFor optimum residual weed control, Striker should be applied to thesoil surface before weed emergence, after all other agriculturaloperations such as, mechanical cultivation and reshaping ofirrigation furrows have been completed. The area should be leftundisturbed during the period of desired weed control. If seedling weeds are present, they should be young and activelygrowing, best results can be achieved by adding a non-ionicsurfactant where recommended (e.g. Spraymate TM Activator,Spraymate Chemwet 1000 or Surfactant 600).Weed control for up to 6 months may be expected, however spottreatment with knockdown herbicides may be needed to controlescape weeds and perennial grasses.Crop safetyDO NOT use tank mixes containing Roundup or other glyphosateproducts on trees and vines less than 3 years old unless effectivelyshielded from spray and drift. Striker alone can be applied todormant tree fruits, nuts and vines of all ages at rates of 1 L or less, however, DO NOT apply Striker once bud swell has occurred. Trees(fruit and nut) and vines should be at least 3 years old when usingrates of 3 L/ha and more.In onions, DO NOT exceed 100 mL/ha at the hook leaf stage, DONOT use wetting agents, DO NOT apply in conditions of very highhumidity, DO NOT apply to crops or weeds which are stressed.DO NOT apply directly to tobacco crops, Striker should be appliedto weed free moist soil, if seedling weeds are present the additionof a wetting agent will improve control.AmsinckiaBarley grassBarnyard grassBellvineBlackberry nightshadeBladder ketmiaBurrgrassCaltropCapeweedChickweedCommon cotulaCrowsfoot grassDeadnettleFat henGiant pigweedGroundselLiverseed grassLovegrassPigeon grassMarshmallowPigweedPotato weedPrickly lettuceRed natal grassRedshankRyegrassSesbania peaShepherd's purseSmallflower mallowSoursobSowthistleStarburrStinging nettleStinkgrassSummer grassThornappleWild mustardWild radishWireweedAmsinckia spp.Hordeum leporinumEchinochloa spp.Ipomoea spp.Solanium nigrumHibiscus trionumCenchrus australisTribulus terrestrisArctotheca calendulaStellaria mediaCotula australisEleusine indicaLamium amplexicauleChenopodium albumTrianthema portulacastrumSenecio vulgarisUrochloa panicoidesEragrostis spp.Setaria spp.Malva parvifloraPortulaca oleraceaGalinsoga parvifloraLactuca spp.Rhynchelytrum repensAmaranthus cruentusLolium spp.Sesbania cannabinaCapsella bursapastorisMalva parvifloraOxalis pes-capraeSonchus oleraceusAcanthospermum hispidumUrtica urensEragrostis cilianensisDigitaria spp.Datura stramoniumSisymbrium spp.Raphanus raphanistrumPolygonum aviculare
