Application is made <strong>in</strong> the student’s home college or major department, with signature approval from the department of <strong>Landscape</strong> Architecture and <strong>Urban</strong> Plann<strong>in</strong>g. Satisfactory completion of <strong>course</strong>s: To be awarded the m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> <strong>Urban</strong> Plann<strong>in</strong>g and receive transcript recognition, students must obta<strong>in</strong> a “C” or better <strong>in</strong> each <strong>course</strong> listed above. Transfer <strong>course</strong>s are not permitted. Effective date: Students declar<strong>in</strong>g a m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> <strong>Urban</strong> Plann<strong>in</strong>g must meet all requirements listed <strong>in</strong> this document to receive transcript recognition. Upper-­‐level <strong>course</strong>s: All students pursu<strong>in</strong>g the m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> <strong>Urban</strong> Plann<strong>in</strong>g must have more than 60 credit hours per COMPASS to enroll <strong>in</strong> URPN 340, URPN 360, URPN 370, URPN 460, URPN 461 and URPN 471. LAUP makes no exceptions to this enrollment prerequisite and regrets that we are not able to force URPL m<strong>in</strong>ors <strong>in</strong>to full URSC <strong>course</strong>s. 3 3 3 15


Advis<strong>in</strong>g: Per university guidel<strong>in</strong>es, the student’s home college or major department is responsible for advis<strong>in</strong>g students pursu<strong>in</strong>g a m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> urban plann<strong>in</strong>g. However, without signature approval from the m<strong>in</strong>or department you cannot apply for or be placed <strong>in</strong> this m<strong>in</strong>or. Degree audit: Degree evaluation <strong>in</strong> COMPASS will certify dur<strong>in</strong>g the graduat<strong>in</strong>g semester that students have met the requirements for the m<strong>in</strong>or. The m<strong>in</strong>or will be recognized after graduation on the transcript, but not on the diploma.
