4- In the first millennium BC,trade relations between the NearEast region, East Africa, SouthAsia, and the Arabian Peninsulawere strengthened. The factthat the Arabian Peninsula waslocated on a major overlandtrade route helped in creatinga number of flourishing Arabkingdoms such as Edom, Lihyanand Kindah. In the south theSaba›, Qataban, Hadhramaut,Minaean, and Awsan kingdomswere established. Tradeand agriculture flourished,generating much wealth andprosperity.
