Practitioner Track: Experienced practitioners who haveprofound knowledge and connections within intergovernmentaland non-governmental sectors assists students in finding theright internships in the United Nations system, otherintergovernmental, regional and non-governmentalorganisations, financial institutions, think tanks anddiplomatic missions.The curriculum of the M.A. (<strong>DLB</strong>) includes a mandatory GuidedInternship requirement that will go a long way into preparingoutgoing graduates for careers in the multiple opportunitiesafforded by ever-expanding career streams like peace andconflict resolution, international justice, international economicdevelopment, humanitarian relief, human rights advocacy,political and economic risk analysis etc. Graduates of JSIA areversatile international affairs professionals.b. Research Track: M.A. (<strong>DLB</strong>) students who aim at academiccareers are trained in social science theory and methods ofthe highest quality, so that they become eligible for admissionwith scholarship to Ph.D. programmes to top internationaluniversities. JSIA’sstudents can take credit coursesthrough video lecture formatfrom UNU’s Masters degree inSustainability, Development andPeace.• JSIA has entered into asemester abroad studentexchange programme withIndiana <strong>University</strong>’s Schoolof Public and EnvironmentalAffairs (SPEA), U.S.A. and theDepartment of Political Science,William Paterson <strong>University</strong>U.S.A., wherein students cantake credit courses at these institutions, which are ranked amongthe top American graduate schools in international affairs.• JSIA has understandings with leading think-tanks such as TheBrookings Institution, U.S.A.; <strong>Global</strong> Foundation for Democracyand Development (GFDD) of the Dominican Republic; andGateway House, India, to provide internship opportunities forM.A. (<strong>DLB</strong>) students.Taiwan Education CentreJSIA hosts India’s first Taiwan Education Centre, which has beenestablished by National Tsing Hua <strong>University</strong> of Taiwan with thebacking of the Ministry of Education, Government of Taiwan. TheCentre is directed by a Taiwanese specialist in Mandarin Chineselanguage and imparts beginner’s, intermediate and advanced-levelMandarin lessons to students from JGU and other institutions. TheCentre is building a base of Chinese language specialists in India,whose relations with the Greater China region are increasinglycrucial for world order.

Admission ProcedureAll applicants need to fill the M.A. (<strong>DLB</strong>) admissions form and payan application fee at JSIA’s website. The entrance examination willbe held on a rolling basis from January 2012 until July 2012.
