Lincoln’s Beard originated as a three-piece in the summer of2006. Since then, Kris Chrisopulos, Dwayne Spence, andTyler Morgan have released two albums: Our American Cousin(2009) and Brother’s Grace (2010), which added drummerEddie Esparza.Over the last five years, Lincoln’s BeardPlays Sunday1-4 p.m.5-6 p.m.has matured both professionally andmusically, playing anything from benefitconcerts for the local museum to playingweddings, birthdays, or regular weeklyand monthly gigs at local venues.Kris Chrisopulos, a transplant from Ohiowith a background in playing in punk bands,brings an Eddie Vedder-esque voice to Lincoln’s Beard. As Dwayne is noted forhis talent in creating riffs, Tyler can be noted, along with Kris,for making those riffs into songs. Tyler has been able to providediversity to the Lincoln’s Beard sound by not only playing the keysbut also possessing the ability to play trumpet or mandolin duringmany of the songs, giving the trio a unique and memorable sound.Eddie Esparza, a transplant from East Los Angeles toVancouver, Wash., has played in several different bands fromjazz to rock to salsa. As an accomplished drummer, Eddie hasan almost effortless ability to read the dynamic of the roomand the song. He can lay back in the song, playing with brusheswhen needed or totally rock out.
