Ourmain building has up-to-date facilities including tutorial classrooms,computer laboratories, a student recreation area and courtyard café.The UNSW Foundation Studies programs offer a university entryqualification as well as excellent preparation for university study. Theyprovide the ideal link for international students between overseasschooling and university study in Australia. Students have the timeand opportunity to adjust to a different style of teaching and to theAustralian way of life before they start undergraduate study.Approximately 85% of Foundation students meet university entryrequirements. Foundation graduates enrolled in undergraduateprograms at UNSW have a proud record of success, normallydemonstrating better academic performance overall than any othergroup of students. UNSW FoundationStudies also offers a Transition Program, which is a one semesterprogram for students with strong English language proficiency whohave completed a matriculation program in their own country (e.g.A-levels, International Baccalaureate), but have not quite met the entrylevels for UNSW undergraduate entry, or for students who have gaineddirect entry to university but who need to gain assumed knowledge incertain subjects.Students are assessed according to results obtained in their schoolexaminations. Consideration is given to the actual subjects studiedand their relevance to the preferred undergraduate program. Forecastresults may be accepted where appropriate.Australian StudentsPermanent residents of Australia or Australian citizens with aninternational educational background are eligible to apply for entryto the Standard and Standard Plus programs. Please enquire forconditions of entry and university entry variations.UNSW Pathway PackagesPathway package offers allow students to apply for a single visa thatwill cover their period of study. This streamlines the study applicationprocess and saves on visa processing costs by not having to extendvisas between study programs.
