RAD - CT91: Computed Tomography Specialist TCC(replaces CTM1: Computed Tomography Specialist in theQuarter System)The Computed Tomography (CT) certificate program provides educational opportunities to the postgraduateregistered Radiologic Technologist, registered Radiation Therapist and registered Nuclear MedicineTechnologist in good standing. It provides students with the knowledge needed to perform CT exams, andto sit for the Post-Primary Computed Tomography Certification Examination. The academic component isdesigned to meet competency requirements of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)exam in Computed Tomography, as well as providing for continuing educational requirements.NOTE: The following requirements must be completed by the application deadline of July 1 for programbeginning fall semester. Must complete the West Georgia Technical College student application process, includingtranscripts from all colleges attended. Must be certified in radiography, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy by the American Registryof Radiologic Technologists. (Attach a current copy of ARRT certification with application.) * Must possess certification in CPR by the American Heart Association/BLS for the HealthcareProvider. (Attach copy of CPR certification with application; must be current and not due toexpire prior to start date.) Must attend college and program orientation upon acceptance into the program.
