<strong>Role</strong> <strong>Ambiguity</strong> <strong>And</strong> <strong>Employees</strong> <strong>Organization</strong> <strong>Based</strong> <strong>Self</strong> <strong>Esteem</strong> 2ABSTRACTThis research was conducted to examine the extent to which role ambiguity impact employee’sorganization based self esteem in Pakistani context. The study also investigated the extent towhich workplace spirituality moderate the relationship between role ambiguity and employee’sorganization based self esteem. Globalization, dynamic working environment and increase inmarket competition required an employee to play multiple roles at the same time employeeson the other side feel stress when they are unable to justify these roles. Stress not only affectthe individual performance of an employee but it also threat to the organization in the form ofpoor performance. Spiritually at workplace is an emerging concept and believed to have stronginfluence on work attitudes of employees as well as on the overall performance of theorganization. The findings of this study have provided a comprehensive relationship betweenrole ambiguity and employee’s organization based self esteem and workplace spirituality.
