Park InformationHAVE YOUR PICNIC IN THE PARKGather your friends for a day or evening of fun and socializing.No alcoholic beverages permitted in parks unless by specialpermit fees apply. Four Crystal park shelters can be reserved foryour picnic and party needs. Each shelter holds 40-50 people.Make reservations during regular business hours. Cost of reservationsand permits is as follows:Reservation/Permit Fee .................. $30/picnic shelter resident$50/picnic shelter non-residentPark Building Use ........................ $15 fee and $10 key deposit($10 refunded upon return of the key)Picnic Kit .........................................$5 fee and $25 kit deposit(Includes softball, bats, scoopball, volleyball, etc.)Sites include:Bassett Creek Park, 32nd & Brunswick ..................... 2 sheltersNorth Lions Park, 61st & Louisiana ............................1 shelterLions Valley Place Park, 32nd & Jersey ......................1 shelterNote: Refunds will not be given due to weather. Rates are asfollows: Crystal residents $125(3-hour event maximum).Non-residents $175(3-hour event maximum).The Hagemeister Overlook @ Hagemeister Pond Preserve,6427 41st Ave: This siteis perfect for small weddingceremonies, familygatherings and photoshoots. It can accommodateup to 30 people.Rates are as follows: Crystal residents $125 (3-hour event),$250 (6-hour event maximum). Non-residents $175(3-hour event), $350 (6-hour event maximum)Note: Refunds will not be given due to weather. Taxes willbe applied to all reservations/permit fees.For more information, contact the recreation officeat 763-531-0052.FIELD PERMITSArea softball and baseball teams that play in Crystal may reserveCity facilities for games and practices. Permits for such use maybe secured from the Recreation Department. Teams may reservefacilities twice per week and may be reserved 2 weeks in advance.Charges may apply. Other athletic fields may also be reserved fora fee. Contact the Recreation Department for more information.Note: Becker Park is not available for rentals.WALK FOR YOUR HEALTHThe Crystal Recreation Department would like to remind its residentsthat there are five areas within the city with paved pathways:Bassett Creek Park, Becker Park, Lions Valley Place Park, MACPark and North Lions Park. These pathways are for your enjoymentduring park hours. Maps are available at the Crystal CommunityCenter during business hours.WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’SSKATE PARKAll ages are welcome to skatethe skateboard and inlineSkate Park free of charge. Thepark is located in the grassarea between Douglas Dr. andthe North parking lot of theCrystal Community Center.Park hours are 9:00 am-10:00pm. It is recommended thateveryone wears a helmet along with knee, elbow and wrist pads.Like all of our parks in Crystal, we ask that everyone does theirpart and picks up their garage to keep the park clean.PLEASE ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING RULES:• Hours: 9:00 am-10:00 pm.• Skate Park is for skateboarding and inline skaters only...no bikes allowed.• Proper use of protective gear is strongly recommended.• By using this park you are assuming the risks andresponsibilities that are inherent in skate parks.• This skate pad belongs to everyone. Community InformationCOMMUNITY CENTERRENTAL INFORMATIONReserve the Crystal Community Center for meetings, familyfunctions, birthday parties, anniversaries, wedding receptions,athletic tournaments, etc. Community Center facilities include:Activity Room ........For small group activities as well as artsand crafts. Holds up to 70 people.Game Room ............For groups up to 50 people.Crystal A and B ......Ideal for catered banquets and receptions.Crystal A holds 60 people, Crystal Bholds 50, and combined they holdapproximately 110 people.Meeting Room Rates Per Hour Weekday WeekendActivity/Game RoomResident $23 $39Non-resident $39 $49Crystal A/BResident $29 $49Non-resident $49 $60Gymnasiums ...There are three gyms which are available forsporting events or weddings, banquets, showsand large meetings.
