ASGRAmembers have been consulted with no objections raised. One family history societyhas expressed an interest in taking all of the publications. Work on deleting therelevant catalogue records will begin soon and progress will be reported in the nextupdate. Census name indexes for the counties and urban areas are being retainedin the Library as back-up. Further details are available in the Library guide.English statutory birth, death and marriage indexesThere are several online indexes which can be accessed via the Useful websites –births, deaths and marriages page. FreeBMD, a volunteer project in agreement withthe General Register Office for England and Wales, now has near completecoverage for 1837 to 1950.
