from any computer in your network<br />
using an e-mail program<br />
<strong>SMbaSic</strong> allows you to use your e-mail program (e.g.<br />
Microsoft Outlook) to send SMS <strong>message</strong>s to individuals<br />
or groups.<br />
Incoming SMS <strong>message</strong>s are automatically<br />
forwarded to the destination e-mail<br />
address. You can send and receive SMS<br />
<strong>message</strong>s from any computer in your network<br />
that is enabled for sending and receiving<br />
e-mails.<br />
When sending an SMS <strong>message</strong> from your e-mail program,<br />
<strong>SMbaSic</strong> converts your e-mail into an SMS <strong>message</strong><br />
and then transmits the <strong>message</strong>. You can send<br />
<strong>message</strong>s to existing Outlook contacts or use SMba-<br />
Sic to configure groups. Incoming SMS <strong>message</strong>s are<br />
automatically converted into an e-mail and forwarded to<br />
the appropriate receiver (or group of receivers).<br />
Besides sending and receiving SMS <strong>message</strong>s,<br />
mobile employees can also forward their e-mail<br />
to a mobile phone. This allows them to receive<br />
their e-mail in the form of SMS <strong>message</strong>s.<br />

In order to send and receive SMS <strong>message</strong>s,<br />
the <strong>VIERLING</strong> products ECOTEL ®<br />
ISDN and ECOTEL ® GSM3 are used. Alternatively,<br />
the GSM modem TC35 from SIE-<br />
MENS can be used.<br />
It is also possible to use other GSM modules<br />
that are equipped with a serial interface<br />
(V.24).<br />
