2013 Crown Point Lacrosse<strong>Youth</strong> <strong>Player</strong> <strong>Registration</strong> <strong>Info</strong> & Parent GuidelinesWelcome to the inaugural season of Crown Point's <strong>Youth</strong> Lacrosse! We are very excited to beexpanding our club with U15 & U13 teams. Please refer to this document when completing thepaperwork.Please note that while our youth program is open to any child in Northwest Indiana, only playersattending Crown Point High School can be rostered on our high school team due to new IndianaHigh School Lacrosse (IHSLA) regulations.REGISTRATION DEADLINE<strong>Registration</strong> will be left open until we reach 24 players/teams (U15; 7/8 grade & U13; 5/6 grade).Toregister; forms may be printed from our website: www.freeteams.neticp/ax and dropped off/mailedwith the registration fee to Vierlyn Sirico. (address at end of this document.)2013 TEAM REGISTRATION FEE - $100Please make checks payable to "Crown Point Lacrosse". Team fees are based on field rental,equipment costs, referee fees and uniform expense. There is also a US Lacrosse membership fee(paid to US Lacrosse). Additionally, all players will be required to participate in fundraisingactivities as outlined below.REGISlRA liON FORMSThe following 5 forms are required to be registered to play:1) <strong>Player</strong> <strong>Registration</strong>US lacrosse Membership is required by the US Lacrosse Indiana Chapter to play lacrosse inIndiana. This membership also provides accident & liability insurance required by the City of CrownPoint. The youth membership fee is $25 and must be renewed annually.To obtain your membership, go to http://www.us/acrosse.orgland follow the "Join Now" link.During the membership process, you'll be asked for group affiliation. Choose Crown PointLacrosse. The required equipment includes shoulderpads, arm pads, gloves, stick, helmet (black), cleats, colored mouth guard and cup. Lacrossecleats are available, but soccer or football cleats can also be worn.Finding lacrosse equipment can be challenging in Northwest Indiana. Please refer to "Equipment<strong>Info</strong>" located on our website for sizing guidelines, cost information and places to purchase.1TEAM UNIFORMSThe club will provide reversible game pennies that the player can keep at the end of the season.All players should wear black shorts.PRACTICE/GAMES<strong>Youth</strong> teams will practice 2 times/week, starting outdoors in March (weather dependent) atSauerman Woods Park. Please refer to website "Practice Schedules" for practice schedule. <strong>Youth</strong>games will be played at new Crown Point <strong>Sports</strong>plex on Sundays, starting in April, concluding inJune. Away games will be off the 1-80 corridor (south Chicagoland). Again, please refer to thewebsite "Schedule/Results" for game schedules. The youth schedule is expected to be finalized bythe end of <strong>Feb</strong>ruary.FUNDRAISINGWe are a self-supported, not-for-profit organization and depend on the monies raised by organizedfundraising activities and business donations. Fundraising is essential to the continuation andgrowth of this program. Monies raised in fundraising will help purchase team equipment, practicespace, advertising and league/tournament fees.All players are required to participate in the fundraisingactivities provided by the program and sella MINIMUM OF $100 in fund raiser products. This year we will be selling a merchant discount cardfor $1O/card. If you choose not to sell the merchant discount card, you will be required to pay tothe team a buyout fee of $100.
