It is believed that within their day to day workingenvironment, most of the experienced quantity surveyorsare able to gather above mentioned competencies requiredby a Value Manager more easily than other professionals inthe construction industry. In addition Quantity Surveyor’sextensive expertise in commercial aspects of the constructionindustry makes it easier for them to become leaders in ValueManagement.Through a research conducted by Visser et al (n.d.), it has beenfound that the skills profile of quantity surveyors is matchedagainst that of the key skills required for value management.References1.
