There are new rules regarding the 100% satisfaction guarantee, be sure to read

To set a fair expectation GB5 has 2 boxes still out for delivery (these are 

reships). GB6 and GB7 are completely delivered. GB8 is shipping right now, GB9 

is being prepped to ship. GB11 will hang open until GB10 is shipping. Thats at 

least a couple of weeks to allow us to catch up backlog. However I will not add 

anything to this GB, its pretty big as is.

I will update what is available on a daily basis. As the rules have changed it 

is now acceptable to buy for other individuals after a GB has been open 

for 1 week. Please list orders that you have made for someone else in 

such a way that I can figure out how many physical addresses I need 

to accommodate. 

This source can also guarantee 100% satisfaction with the transaction. No you 

can not request box codes. To be sure of 100% satisfaction you must 

check your boxes within 3 days of delivery, after that point we can not 

help you. Also in order to return the box you must have the entire box. 

You must manage your own box splits in a separate thread from this 

one. Attempts to manage splits and such in this thread will be deleted. 

Your cigars will be shipped to the destination of your choice one box at 

a time due to the guarantee (so if you order four one is shipped 

Monday and the next Tuesday and so on). 

If you are interested add your name and the quantity of each box you want. Do 

not make a list as usual, just make a post with your name and the quantity of 

each box you want. The reason for this is we occasionally make mistakes with 

adding and dropping names and or quantities and I want to minimize that. 

Please know that if you put your name on this list and request 

something the second you hit enter you are expected to be committed 

to that purchase. 

Unlike previous GBs you can make payment as soon as you place your order. 

Collecting payments in a quicker fashion should allow us to process our orders 

more quickly. I will contact you to make payment arrangements once you post 

your order. 

You may pay with Internet payments, either Amazon or the other 

crappy one, assuming you cover all fees or with a money order. Unless 

you have been given specific instruction on a previous GB that you can 

pay with a personal check your payment must be certified funds. YOU 

CANNOT USE THE GIFT OPTION. Also your method of payment should 

include your screen name somehow, but no mention of cigars.This GB

will close to additional orders sometime around 2-26-12 at the latest or 

alternately when things are sold through. Your payment must be received 

within 7 days of the close. It is your responsibility to make sure your payment 

is completely resolved before that date. Failure to remit payment in that time will 

have your name removed from this HB-GB. Failure to communicate anything 

during that time will suspend your HB-GB privileges for 90 days.

buying.

Don't you all get your panties in a twist:D....many times Bryan has said 

there were problems with people paying on time; not blaming Bryan 

for any of it. I paid on March 2nd, 9 weeks tomorrow. Then there were

Has anyone received a box from this GB? Last update in the status thread says 

"shipping Friday or Monday" and that update was from two weeks ago. 

Before anyone jumps on me and asks to buy me out, please understand I'm 

being patient. I'm just looking for a little information. I think it's fair that if 

there's a glitch that the participants are made aware of it. I don't have to know 

the details. I understand not everything can be posted in a public forum.

But the question is/was were these shipped Friday or Monday of 2 weeks ago...If 

they were then no tracking info was sent out as was requested by numerous 

participants. I think we have ALL been overly patient in the whole process. Sad 

to say, but the communication flat out stinks. 

On a side note, I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks in June. If my shipment lands 

during that span I'm going to be very unhappy... Before I get jumped, I placed 

this order in February, never in my wildest nightmares I would have thought this 

be takin this long.

No one is out of line, this has been a bit of a mess. 

Long story short 17 boxes went out that shouldn't have went out for various 

reasons. 5 of the boxes were returned or paid for the others are in various 

states. Because I paid in advance to secure GB12 during this lull I am cash poor, 

I can't cover the other 11 boxes until Friday and then shipments will resume. 

I also never committed to send any shipping notices, I do not plan to cull 

through the 102 shipping notices to find any unless something is lost.

piece of information you do not have. The final payment was made Friday and 

confirmed Saturday and the shipping process is starting again this week.

com and if your box has not shipped I will make arrangements to refund your 

money and take possession of your box. If your box has shipped I will provide 

you my address and you can ship it to me unopened and I will refund your 

money at that point. 

P.S. I do not mean to be short with anyone, just up against a tight deadline 

which is part of the reason I have not been around a lot as of late. I just want to 

be sure you have the fastest possible path to resolution as well as to get this

However Seegars I would respond that I will offer no further information beyond 

what I have already offered you (I have amended this offer to include 10% 

interest). Everything about this process doesn't need to be public and candidly I 

will decide what should and shouldn't be public because I'm the one sitting at 

the end of the noose if this thing goes tits up. I'll get the letter and I'll be the 

target of whatever action is taken. 

I have already told you I will refund your money, if you require it with interest so 

be it, I will include that in the payment as well. I should get the email confirming 

my request regarding your box one way or the other in the morning and at that

Actually Frank this GB involves about 148 boxes give or take, there are 

components you do not see in this forum (meaning I have other buyers I 

arranged this for prior to taking on the responsibility for HB and I continue to 

assist them). However I've done this 13 times for this group. In November that 

particular buy was 3 times the size of this one monetarily. Depsite whatever 

bumps in the road have occurred I think that I've proven over the last year I'm 

not going to abscond with anyones money.

Actually I would say two additional things. 

When we first started this because of over circulation of information our efforts 

to mount GBs were twice thwarted. Also we had someone go to vendors trying 

to make their own arrangements as an HB envoy again due to over circulation of 

information. These incidents then caused us to keep all but the most pertinent to 

ourselves (which mostly means to myself unless I have a problem so big I need 

to let Mark/JD know about it). 

So the combination of those events and legal and tax implications (yes there 

have been some of those) make it seem judicious to keep certain information to 

myself. I will continue to do that as I feel it minimizes my considerable risk in 

this enterprise. 

All of you have seen 11 GBs go off mostly flawlessly (even if slow). Many of you 

have participated with large sums of money to your complete satisfaction. I only 

beg your indulgence a brief moment longer so we can complete this bit of 

business. 

I also apologize for my absences of late but truthfully I wanted a break because 

these last couple of months have not been fun cigar wise and I'm literally buried 

between what I've pledged is my last 3 months of trying to get this book to 

breakout and the actual job I do on a daily basis. After this deadline I should find 

my way back to the forum.

I have not asked for a REFUND nor any interest. I have no idea why you are

I think people are wondering at my mind state and this speaks directly to where 

I am with things:

This particular path to buy is slow on the best of occasions. It takes an 

inordinate amount of time for money to move to me, further time to move it to 

the vendor in a safe and less noticable manner. Then it takes 5 to 20 days of 

movement (typically 10 or so) to get the box after they mail it. Then there is

always 10 days at the end when I am tracking down the late packages. For me it 

is simpler to refund your money at this point than to continually have to look 

back to answer whatever questions may arise between now and the time your 

box arrives. Given the enormous amount of time that ghas already passed I can 

not imagine your reaction of this box was late after it was in the mail. To refund 

your money with interest and fees is the quickest path to resolve of your ongoing 

issue with how long this box has taken you to receive and I believe it to be more 

than fair. At this point I'd refund your money even if the box was in route simply

I'm not angry with you, I indeed am not angry at all except with Ron; though 

this particular process (not you but these last three GBs in general) has been 

tiring. I would, at this moment, buy this entire order out of my pocket to be shut

is not directed at you I just want to take the most expeditious path to problem 

resolution that I can to make people happy and meet my obligation and then 

close this chapter and get back to my hobby being enjoyable instead of a weight 

around my neck. Thats all I'm trying to make happen right here. 

The big issue for me was the use of the term chargeback, my encounters with 

Ron, the payment method provider and with the US government regarding 

specifically the use of my internet payment account has made me very wary of 

that particular word. With it coming up in our conversation I simply made a 

decision that it was easiest to refund your money and ensure your happiness as 

quickly as possible. That word is scary to me because of the inspection it 

requires from the parties involved. Even the implied threat of the action, and 

though that may not have been your intent thats the way i took it, moves me to 

immediate action to return the offended parties money immediately if possible. 

I also, candidly, do not appreciate the dispersions to the state and content of my 

character you have made. Rest assured there has been a lot going on behind the 

scenes regarding arrangements that needed to be made to complete these GBs 

and conclude my commitments to our vendor. I would have said before this 

exchange started that you and I would have the opportunity to continue a happy 

association going forward in a more personal and intimate setting (no homo lol) 

but at this point I would find that to be an uncomfortable situation. 

I truly mean you no offense and I hope you can understand my position in this 

matter.

I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill! 

A brief summary, I wanted an update on shipping for a GB that was approx 2 

mos old.... because I live in a very hot climate and don't like receiving cigars in 

Jun-Aug (roughly dependant upon onset of heat). I only want the cigars 

promised to me that I paid for approx 6-8 weeks ago. However, i would not like 

those cigars to be shipped in the Summer. If they were coming when it was hot, 

I probably would have run them thru the freezer as I have done that many years 

ago, I simply don't like having to do that. To that end, others were willing to 

take them. Either they live in cooler temps or are not bothered by receiving 

cigars in extreme heat, I dunno. So, I asked for an update to help me make a 

decision... that is all. To that end, NO, I don't want both the cigars and money. If 

you proceed with punting me from this GB, I think you should look deeply at the 

reasons you have for doing so as I don't think you are a good candidate for 

running GB's on a public board. IF you punt me from the GB, simply refund my 

monies. I do not want nor have I ever asked for "interest" of any kind and I 

think it could be viewed as disingenuous to offer the cost of the cigars, interest 

and the cigars. How you choose to proceed is certainly your business.

GB11 - I got shipping notices Saturday, maybe Friday to tho I don't have Fridays 

mail yet. So shipping has been resumed. 

GB12 - A large number of late payments are still out there plus two checks (echecks 

received via an internet service) were returned. This is going to take 

some time to figure out (I don't know exactly what to do about returned echecks) 

but I can't deal with it until I return. I think I'm going to proceed by 

taking on the boxes that are not paid by Friday to simplify things, let's see how 

many of those there are by weeks end.

Its easier for me to call the people directly than to go back through email and 

find the proper shipping notice as far as seeing whats come in. I never resort to 

tracking until the box is lost. 

I've confirmed three arrivals from the first batch but two of them are the wrong 

box (the wrong product was shipped). I'm traveling today and tomorrow but 

taking Wed off to try to put together an entire manifest of whats been shipped 

with the appropriate tracking numbers for each package.

A correction to earlier, although it took me some time over lunch to figure out 

what exactly the discrepancy was. The first part of this shipment was 

replacements for cigars that were offered in the round of GB10 but after we 

were paid were found to be out of stock. They were replenished and shipped. So 

its not that they shipped the wrong thing, I just got shipping notices and 

automatically assumed they were new boxes not the backordered boxes. I 

should have known better when I didn't get the shipping manifest prior but my 

attention span has been short of late. 

There were also 5 boxes shipped that are replacement boxes due to damage 

replacing all except one box that needs to be replaced. So al outstanding 

replacements were shipped except one (Sorry Tony they still don't have BHK 56s 

in stock). 

I actually may take tomorrow instead of Wed, depending on schedule priorities.

The problem is that the silence leaves a vacuum which as time goes on is filled 

with more and more speculation. Even though this is my first group buy, Bryan 

has enough of a track record on here where I'm confident if I'm patient I'll get 

what I ordered. The waiting is difficult though at this point and the lack of 

communication is hard to deal with. I for one though continue to wait. I'm not 

selling and I'm not asking for a refund. If things have started to ship, hopefully, 

I'll have my cigars soon.

As of Monday there were 81 of 148 boxes shipped. I'm planning to prepare a 

spreadsheet with all the shipping numbers that you can use to track your 

shipments. 

As I said earlier if you want out I will buy your share at interest. When i did 

check in earlier I spent that time making arrangements for two requested

No I did not receive full payment I had to cover some of the reserved boxes but 

that's not what I mean. I mean to refund your money I have to have the money 

to pay for the box, I need to make some money to cover the refund request. I 

wasn't intending to own these boxes, didn't just have money laying around for

When I complete the spreadsheet I'll forward it to you and you can do what you 

like, however as I stated I will buy any party out that wants to be bought out at

I have'nt said that anyone is the problem here, nor have I said that Brian isn't 

responsible. What I have said is that there is a wrong way to comment which I

For clarity's sake, as I think I am the only one that has publicly offered to sell my

FYI and for the record: 

a) I would not compare any cigar community to OLH (especially a small tight-knit 

board like HB), which is not really a community at all but a trading post where 

more fraud has been perpetrated than on possibly any other board EVER. 

b) I am carefully tracking all of this and I am sure that everyone involved, 

including Bryan, naturally assumed that. Presuming that because this is on HB 

and not OLH has anything to do with being added to the list is incorrect. Please 

refrain from making blanket statements like that unless you have actually looked 

into the process and what it means as it frankly cheapens the list and how it

This is group buy make my integrity look bad! People gave me money to get 

them cigars 5 months ago.. I have no cigars.. It makes me look bad! They ask 

me daily about their cigars!!!! I shouldn't have to cough up cash to pay them 

back if these never show. 

I don't know what the problem is.. But on another forum we do 150+ box group 

buys from the same vendor and the group buys take 5 weeks from start to

delivery.. And on top of that we get shipping timelines and tracking. I wish you 

would take care of this group buy and wrap it up.. I'm sure the vendor is pissed 

off you have made him hold stock for 5 months!

From now on I consider myself a victim of a scam. It is time that everyone 

involved should get the idea. 

Has anyone contacted the vendor to check if anything was shipped, or even paid?

I'm sure there is a good excuse for yet another delay. :lol: 

Of course, this GB is wrought with this scenario.... 

Addiction became accustomed to having large sums of money deposited into his 

account and decided to use a lil to cover some personal debt. When Big Ron got 

the GB's stopped, Addiction had a problem trying to cover all the moneys from 

his personal cash flow. I have NO IDEA why the mods/owners of this board are 

allowing GB#12 to continue as obviously, it WOULD APPEAR, that Addiction has 

over extended himself with our money and needs GB#12 money to fund this GB. 

I have no idea when GB #12 would ever take place. 

These are the supposed facts as they appear because of Addiction's cryptic posts 

and the fact that he keeps changing his story, if you read this thread in its 

entirety. 

This is becoming a very very ugly stain upon this board. 

I'm sure Addiction will come on and mention that he didn't have access to the 

internet the last few days, blah blah blah, etc.....

We need to know how many boxes have been paid and when, also when did 

they ship, and to whom, how many boxes remain to be paid and the location and 

liquidity of those funds. and how you plan to handle GB #12.

Oh, and to provide my own status, it has been 2.5 weeks since Addiction's 

"offer" in which he tried to make me look like a phuctard and make himself look 

like an angel.... I have received zero cigars and no funds as he promised . I 

knew then what I know now, something is terribly wrong with this GB and sadly, 

without any detailed, concise information from Addiction, things will start 

deteriorating with formal inquiries.

How many times he tout and offer ya refund? Yeah several times. Just a stall 

tactic. Ya not going to get a refund cause there isn't any money. All dried up and 

spent on the so called "business" trips. Addiction didn't go anywhere, it was 

another tactic to buy more time so he could and recoup some of the group buy 

money.

Will not happen cause they all friends I am sure and probably too involved with 

the mess. Ya see how Addictions "friends" are quick to come and save his @ss

Please direct me to a quote in the GB where another Moderator came to his 

defense? 

I could be wrong, but I don't remember another Mod posting anything but a 

request for the information that was reasonably requested.

If we decide to contact DG, which seems appropriate at this point to me, let's 

make sure the GB representative has an established relationship with him please. 

From a business standpoint, I know I would be upset/concerned/cautious if my 

customer's customer's called me to "find out about" stuff they never paid me 

directly for...
