June 2010 Gift + Home <strong>Market</strong> to sizzle<br />
at World <strong>Market</strong> Center <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong><br />
World <strong>Market</strong> Center <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong> continues expanding the depth of its product selec-<br />
tion with the launch of the fi rst Gift + Home <strong>Market</strong>, June 13–16, 2010. Th is new event<br />
marks the home furnishings campus’ fi rst stand-alone show outside of the bi-annual<br />
<strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong> <strong>Market</strong>.<br />
“We are moving full-steam ahead with<br />
plans to increase our value to buyers and<br />
exhibitors,” says Philip McKay, senior vice<br />
president, WMCLV. “For a relatively new<br />
venue, WMCLV has established itself<br />
as a dominant resource in the industry<br />
and expanding into the gift segment is a<br />
natural progression. Th e gift and home<br />
industry already has a strong presence at<br />
World <strong>Market</strong> Center <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong> and we<br />
anticipate continued growth.”<br />
Recent research shows that 74 percent<br />
of current <strong>Las</strong> <strong>Vegas</strong> <strong>Market</strong> attendees<br />
already purchase gift and decorative accessories.<br />
With key industry showrooms<br />
already present at WMCLV — including<br />
Midwest/CBK, IMAX, Global Views,<br />
C&F Enterprises, Evergreen and Manual<br />
Woodworkers & Weavers, to name a few<br />
— it is clear this vital category continues<br />
to gain momentum. “We anticipate an<br />
eclectic mix of permanent and temporary<br />
resources to add to<br />
the buyers’ experience,”<br />
McKay notes.<br />

In fact, the <strong>Vegas</strong> Kids show will be<br />
co-located with Gift + Home and will<br />
run concurrently, drawing additional<br />
