Postgraduate scholarships and grantsDomestic studentsThe University of South Australia provides scholarships to highachieving students as well as those who are most in need. Some areopen to all disciplines and others relate to a specific career, programor University Division.The University’s website is the best place to start the search forfunds to support your study efforts. There you’ll find Universitywideofferings (of up to $10,000) if you’re an Australian Indigenousor Torres Strait Islander postgraduate student, and disability ordisadvantage grants of up to $10,000 for applicants who qualify.unisa.edu.au/scholarship/postgraduate/pg_unisa.aspThe University of South Australia’s Business School offers StudentMobility Scholarships for those who want to travel on exchange.The Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences has a numberof travel grants for visual arts students, including the Anne and GordonSamstag International Visual Arts Scholarships Program which coversthe costs for up to 10 Australian visual arts students to study overseas.They also offer the Australian Science Media Centre Scholarship topostgraduate students who are commencing the Master of Arts(Journalism) program. The scholarship will be awarded to studentswho have a genuine interest in science combined with journalism,communication or multimedia.The Division of Health Sciences has a Master of Dietetics Scholarshipworth $5000, 14 Rural Reconnect Scholarships for students fromrural or isolated areas, financial support for national and internationaltravel, and support for presenting papers at conferences. The SansomPharmacy Fund and the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences willalso fund six joint Pharmacy Registrar Clinical Training Scholarships tofull-time students enrolled in the Master of Clinical Pharmacy.The Division of Information Technology, Engineering and theEnvironment has several generous scholarships, including fiveInformation Technology Management Scholarships for students inthe Doctor of Information Technology Management program, andfinancial help for students in the Master of Surveying program.There are more scholarships available for students undertaking higherdegrees by research. Each year more than 2500 University of South Australiastudents benefit from scholarships and grants worth millions ofdollars. We have a range of categories – including support for highachievers and students in need. The awards aim to promoteknowledge and education links, and strengthen ties betweenAustralia and our neighbours through undergraduate andpostgraduate scholarships. These include development awards tobuild capacity in developing countries.They also include achievement awards that target top students,researchers and professionals to come to Australia.
