The site is a fullyinteractive environment and is used for online learning, distribution of materials, lecturerecordings, discussions, quizzes, exercises, even sharing desktops.Gradebook is another key feature of the Course Site where students and teachers canmanage assignment submission and return. Integrated into Gradebook is Turnitin, the textcomparison software that ensures the academic integrity of submitted work. Also on theCourse Site is ePortfolio, a student’s personal online space for collecting and recordingacademic life and experiences with text, photo, video, music and multimedia. You can useit to build a resume, publish a blog, showcase your achievements and academic knowledgeor simply keep in contact with your friends and colleagues.The new learning environment also includes a program and course management systemand a new student placement system. Information technology is also being integrated withmobile devices to keep pace with changing internet usage. Some courses feature learningmaterials for iPads and a ‘Find a PC’ mobile application allows students to check theavailability of computers around their campus in real time from their iPhone, iPod Touch andiPad.
