Issue Nr.7 April 2009:Layout 1 26.02.2009 09:50 Seite 8NATIONAL AGM OF CLUB <strong>41</strong> ROMANIAHav<strong>in</strong>g returned home from my monthsjourney to South Africa, Mauritius, La Reunionand India on Monday, 29 September2008 <strong>in</strong> the later even<strong>in</strong>g, I had two days timeto wash and iron my laundry and do<strong>in</strong>g mymost important bus<strong>in</strong>ess work, before I leftaga<strong>in</strong> on Thursday, 02 October 2008 <strong>in</strong> direction‚Venice where I was welcome from the<strong>in</strong>ternational well know Italian <strong>41</strong>er AlviseBenvenuti and together we had a fantasticfish d<strong>in</strong>ner <strong>in</strong> central Venice together withthe local Round Table President DavideLocas.The next morn<strong>in</strong>g I flew at 06.45 o’clock toBucarest where I was welcome from thelocal national I.R.O. Gheoghe Floroi and togetherwe drove <strong>in</strong> good three hour toCraiova, where we had our late lunch at15.00 o’clock. The even<strong>in</strong>g we had the get Together<strong>in</strong> the nearby Hotel Doljana, hav<strong>in</strong>gvisited before the new water founta<strong>in</strong> whichis the pride of the <strong>in</strong>habitants of Craiova.Comb<strong>in</strong>ed with music the founta<strong>in</strong> shows agreat variety of water falls and geyser. Whata joy to meet good old friends and get toknow new ones.The d<strong>in</strong>ner was served with local fishes,there was much Romanian folk music andwith it much danc<strong>in</strong>g and much fun.The <strong>in</strong>ternational presence was also verygood with the national I.R.O. Dieter Geschand the national Vice President Albert LütkeZutelgte from Germany, thenational I.R.O. from G.B. & I.,Andy Waite, theItalian I.R.O. Duccio Arrighi, the nationalI.R.O. from France, Denis Beck, the nationalI.R.O. from Belgium, Eric De Meirsman withhis friend from Club <strong>41</strong> Brussels Pierre-André Nibelleand the nationalSecretary fromThe Netherlands,PeterOrnee.The next morn<strong>in</strong>gwas held thenational AGMwhere I couldgive my speechand gave thegreet<strong>in</strong>gs from<strong>41</strong> Int’l. After thisthe Int’l Delegatesleft for avisit of the ArtMuseum and thenearby beautifulnational park.Once the nationalAGM wasover we had ourlunch. The afternoonwas freefor everybody.Almost <strong>in</strong> step with each other but IROall friends <strong>in</strong> CraiovaGheoghe Floroi, IRO Romania, Duccio Arrighi, IRO Italy,Denis Beck, IRO France,Andy Wait, IRO G.B.& I.,and Hans-Dieter Gesch, IRO GermanyThe Gala Even<strong>in</strong>gwas held <strong>in</strong> a nice restaurant situated 10 kmoutside from Craiova. What a wonderfulfeast with much music, dances and uniquefriendship.The new National Board was <strong>in</strong>troducedwith:George Petrescu as new National PresidentOctavian Vulpescu as Vice- PresidentLupu Vasile as Vice PresidentVifurel Mar<strong>in</strong>escu as National Past PresidentLeont<strong>in</strong> Br<strong>in</strong>dusoiu as National TreasurerGheorghe Floroi as National I.R.O..After hours of dance, wonderful and muchfood and dr<strong>in</strong>ks, hav<strong>in</strong>g met many new andold friends, very late <strong>in</strong> the night we wheredriven back to our hotel.In the next morn<strong>in</strong>g the Farwell, which is alwayssad, but all of us gave the promise tomeet as soon as possible, maybe dur<strong>in</strong>g thenext event which will be the National BelgiumAGM <strong>in</strong> Tienen the com<strong>in</strong>g weekend.Randolph Riedl<strong>in</strong>ger<strong>41</strong> <strong>International</strong> PresidentenjoyRomanian First Lady Lum<strong>in</strong>ita, Randolph Riedl<strong>in</strong>ger and the newRomanian President of Club <strong>41</strong> George Petrescu.8 AGM,.
